Description And again a fanart from the musical The Phantom of the Opera. This time it's the autograph card of my favourite Phantom, Ian Jon Bourg (US, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Essen, Las Vegas).

Included: his autograph and a quotation from the song "music of the night" ("let the dream begin" - in German of course )

Best wishes

Oh that's a beautiful drawing! Just perfect!
And the autograph is like the utter icing on the cake! (Of course, I'm jealous)
Amazing job! Please, I think it'd be awesome if you'd publish more portraits!

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, Keyklee!! I really appreciate it and am very greatful for the compliment!
Jealous of the autograph? Does that mean, you also know Ian Jon Bourg or is it because it is an autograph of the person who is actually in the picture? Sorry for being nosy, but I would so love to get to know other Ian Phans :-D

Unfortunatelly due to my tight schedule of uni and job, I can hardly find time to paint or draw, but I have some new projects coming up because of some (then) belated Xmas presents, so hopefully, you will also like one of those

Again, thanks for the comment!!

Hi, I don't really know that much about Ian Jon Bourg. I've heard he has given an amazing Phantom and I really wanted to see him live (but I didn't).
I have a few Phantom songs from him on a cd and I really love his voice and wish I could have seen him playing. So I'm jealous, yes, because you have even met him!

I'll put you on my watchlist then. I guess drawing is also very time consuming so I am sure it's tough to find enough time for it if you have a job and study.
I'm looking forward to see some more work from you, I think you're really incredibly talented!

Wow, I think it's fantastic to hear that there are more Ian fans (or at least some who appreciate his voice) out there He truly deserves it! I put his whole heart into that role and that is what made the difference!
He's performing at the Las Vegas production of Phantom at the moment. I am told, that he also plays the Phantom there on some shows - so if you happen to come to Las Vegas at some point....

Thanks so much for watching!! Yes, drawing is very time consuming. E.g. for my oilpainting "in silent expectation" I needed 60 working hours... and for my "Don Juan" pencil drawing I needed 24h but that was an extreme due to the design of Amnita's dress ^^°

I'm actually working on a Wicked (Stephanie J. Block) drawing at the moment. I think I'll be able to upload it on 23.12. or just after Xmas But some time in the new year I'm looking forward to painting another oil painting for my Phantom collection

Well, in return for teh autograph, Ian also got a drawing of himself as Phantom but yes, I'm soooo happy about the autograph! Especially with him not being in Europe anymore but back in the US instead...

Aww. That was nice of you. Did he like the drawing?

Good thing you caught him before he left then.

well, lets say it this way: he's not a person of showing his feelings. (in private that is! On stage you get blown away by his emotional performace! ) but i think he liked it

Don't you ever say, you don't want to draw with a pencil again! That's just one wonderful example, that you don't need to hide your light under a bushel . MOOOOORE!
