It's been a very bittersweet year for me personally. Short story: I lost a brother. Saved my other brother and got him admitted to a seniors home. Emptied and sold our family home. Had a heart attack (I now have two stents). Caught Covid for the first time (a mere 3 weeks after my heart attack), and then had "Long Covid" symptoms that dragged on for months. Then caught a cold (the first that I'd had for about 3 years), that lasted for a month! On the plus side - the love of my life and I are back together, slowly working through some issues that caused us to part for a brief time. She also may have saved my life - recognizing my heart attack symptoms way before I did, and drove me to the hospital Emergency room. I also won a song writing contest, and the song will be recorded locally, but then sent off to be produced by Greg Wells (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Welโฆ ). Lastly, I retired in September from my job of 20 years.
And so today, in retrospect, I am, "So happy, it hurts."
