2 weeks ago my dog died of old age, it was very emotional and i cried all the time
but last week the vet gave us his ashes in a beautiful ceramic box and i quietly sobbed but at least i have his ashes 

it was a nice gift of them and i got moved

Aw that sucks we had to put our cat down 2 weeks ago also as she was too old for to move house which we were about to do. Was really hard on my mum.

It really sucks to lose a pet as they are big parts of your life and they are actual family members.
