I use EXCLUSIVELY Canon Lenses
70-200 mm f2.8 L IS USM II
16-35 mm f2.8 L USM II
50 mm f1.8 (low cost but very cool)
and I dream to buy a 24-70 mm f2.8 L USM II but it is very very very expensive. I think that the new Tamron is cool and half-price (but not as cool as the Canon)
And I use an EOS 5D Mark III. Very expensive but very cool! I've had to work very hard to buy all these lenses… and I don't even sell my photos! I'm really mad I think :) (Smile)

I have Canon EOS 1100D and standard 18-55mm but I dream about new lens... But well... As You know, it's expensive passion ;) (Wink) But I don't think that you're mad - passion and talent is not madness

I totally agree. If you keep your 1100D and if you want a new lens for concerts (and architecture too) you can choose:

CANON EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM (900 - 1000 € : expensive)
SIGMA 17-50 mm / F2,8 DC OS HSM EX for Canon (600 €)
TAMRON SP AF 17-50mm / 2,8 XR Di II VC for Canon (400 €)

Yes, I know, the best one is the most expensive… as always… But I think, for beginning, that you can do nice things with other ones ;) (Wink)
