Your gallery is quite sensational. You really know how to capture the light in your photography.

No problem. You've been watching me for the longest and you still want to pop by and say hello, which is nice. And after reading your latest journal, I thought it'd make a nice Christmas/congratulatory gift
Have a great time over the holidays!

Andy, you're very very welcome. Thank you for showing such an amazing collection of your photos (which I would be happy to hang on the walls of my home, if I had one... )

Thanks for taking the time to look at my gallery and leave me some good comments, rather than the usual "great shot" everyone is so used to posting.

You're most welcome. I try to add something at least slightly thoughtful to the comments I make on others' works - it only seems fair to try if they've taken the time to look at my work!

You know, I've been called a lot of things in my life, but never an inspiration. I'm really, honestly, touched and flattered. Anyway, I'll try my best to keep being so - please let me know if I fall off the wagon
And don't worry about the and run behaviour, I'm guilty of it too usually!

It's pretty good actually.I'm joining the US marine corps so I'm pretty stoked about that. How about you?

USMC WTF? I had no idea that you were interested in doing that - what appeals to you about it? And when do you head off to boot camp?
As for me, I'm in Argentina now until January - I'll be staying in Buenos Aires for another 6 weeks, then heading on around the country and down through Patagonia to Tierra del Fuego, where I intend to spend new year in the southernmost city in the world.
Then, unfortunately, I have to start work.

Yeah I want to be a combat photographer lol, And I won't be leaving until sometime next year (mid summer)...
And wow! I hope your south american adventures are going well. and screw work haha

Hehe, damn right. I'm just going to enjoy South America for now - once I've got rid of my typhoid, that is...
Combat photography certainly sounds like an interesting way to carry on with photography. At my friend's wedding last year the wedding photographer was a retired paratrooper who used to take aerial intelligence photos whilst skydiving!

shit typhoid is no bueno! I read your journal and that's most unfortunate that you can't enjoy steak and wine for a while. How is the steak down there by the way?
and yeah it's going to be a fun career!

strangelight In reply to craigory [2009-10-06 19:08:42 +0000 UTC]
Ah, the steak is amazing. You'll have to schedule some R'n'R in Buenos Aires when you're in the Army!
The typhoid isn't quite as bad as I thought it would be - I imagined being confined to bed, coughing and spluttering, etc. But it's not really much more than an inconvenience, for now...
