aww! thanks yeah, all is well. i've just been on hiatus these past couple of months. I've been doing art but I've been focusing on technical skill rather than artistic originality, nothing I would really deem worthy of putting up. mostly just practice. but hopefully I'll be able to get back into the kind of art I love really soon! and I can start posting again.

So I was just randomly going through your gallery, reading really old comments (funny stuff)and then I pretty much had an epiphany. I realized just how inspirational your work really is. I'm kind of having one of those weird moments where I actually feel motivated to work at something....

Wow, Tatum that's probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. Honestly. You've made my day! And I really appreciate that, I mean, for me I don't just do artwork for myself. I really only get pleasure out of it if other people can get some sort of message out of it or can gain something from it. There'd really be no point otherwise, people make my world go round. I guess that's why I like to draw and paint them so much. And I guess also, art is something I use to help prove a point to myself, that I can get better at something if I really really study it. And I can be the best at it if I work hard enough, the only thing that stands in the way of my dreams is myself.
so yeah! it makes me kind of super happy that you like my work and even found it inspirational. Kind of makes it worth it.
and that's how I felt I needed to respond at 2:06 in the morning. hahaha, hope I wasn't weird!

Yeah, I totally agree with everything you just said regarding what art means to me. Art really just is a means of communicating yourself in an atypical way that makes people think, and when people can do it really well (like you), it makes you REALLY think and consider ways you can apply those messages in life. Your work is inspirational because it's obviously focused on quality but you don't take yourself too seriously or look down on other people just because your skills are so amazingly honed. It really makes me think in more way than one.
Haha, I don't think you were weird at all. I'm on CA time anyway so I probably went to bed at like 2 AM EST anyway. xP

I don't know... however long it takes to cut all the damaged ends off. so hopefully not too long. but I'm fearful that it will have to be.
