Ooo hi! It's always nice to meet local collectors. ^^ I took a quick look in your gallery; those photos you have on flowers and nature are amazing~~
I've attempted nature photography once, but realized I didn't really have an eye for it... :'>

Thank you! ^^ I love nature and animals, so I always want to take pretty photos of them. And it's great to show others what you see because not everyone appreciates the beauty around them. Especially in tiny things and creepy crawlies. Haha.
Thanks for the watch back! Hope to be able to meet you in Singapore some day. ^^ (I'll be back for one week in October, maybe we can arrange a meet-up or something then. Heh.)

You're right about the creepy crawlies. Haha! I love insects myself, but my friends have a hard time understanding my fascination with them. (Except mosquitoes, they're annoying. :'D)
Actually, there's a doll meet planned for this weekend, but there are only two of us attending right now so I'm not sure if it's even still happening. orz I could ask the organizer if she'd postpone it to October if you're interested!
Where are you located now? o:

I hate mosquitoes too, although they seem to adore me. >_> I usually get all the bites when among a group of people. Haha.
Oh yeah, you guys were planning an August meet, right? Maybe post another thread on DoA to gauge interest?
I'm in Tampin, Malaysia. It's in between Melaka and Seremban. Married a Malaysian and am working here at a health farm. Here's the website if you're interested: www.aenon.org.my
Will need to go back to SG to renew my visa in October and will proabably take one or two of my crew along for some sight-seeing/shopping at the same time. ^^

It's the same for me too. Even at home, they'd rather sting me than the rest of my family. My mom says it's my penchant for candy and desserts that's making my blood sweeter and tastier for them.
There is a thread on DoA for August. I think the problem is that most people only check the forum for new posts in the MP. :'D
The health farm looks interesting. o: I never knew there's one in Malaysia. Always thought it was more of a western thing. I may just sign up for a program one day, when I stop splurging on doll purchases! Haha I used to travel so much before I came back from my hiatus... orz

I have a sweet tooth too! Your mother might be right! *lol*
Eh? I must have totally missed that thread. Will go check it out. ^^
You're welcome to visit any time! ^^ We get lots of Singaporeans here. Actually we get many more foreigners than Malaysians. Heh. I used to spend quite a bit on doll purchases too, before I got hooked on making my own clothes for them. It's kinda slow, but much more satisfying. So now I just spend on wigs and dolls themselves (which is probably just as bad). >_>;;

Ah yeah, we haven't been actively bumping the thread this time, so it's easily missed. :'D
Wigs are not too much of a problem for me because they're pretty much fixed once I find a right style for them. Problem is the clothes. My dolls have expensive tastes with tailored suits, and leather pants and what-not. orz
I've also tried making doll clothes once, but I didn't really have the patience for it. I'd much prefer doing something that requires less brain activity, like knitting. lol

I happen to have two cosplayers (or maybe three) in the house, so I'm always on the lookout for character wigs. XD And I like to see how different they look in different wigs too.
Knitting requires patience too! Haha. I like crocheting as well, but somehow sewing seems faster sometimes, and I get to recycle old clothes in the process. Tailored suits are really nice though, and my sewing level is not up to that standard, so my crew has to settle for casual clothes and yukata. >_>

I have the same problem with eyes... The eyes are also usually fixed for my crew, but I keep buying new pairs simply because they're just so pretty! lol On the bright side, I have a collection of spare eyes to choose from for any new additions to my family.
I limit my knitting projects to scarves and hats. Basically the things that I can make while I watch something. Makes time pass much faster this way. :'D
Yukata and casuals can be nice! Do you have any pictures of your dolls wearing them? o:

I like eyes too! But they're usually troublesome to change, so I prefer wigs. Heh. Probably because my first few dolls did not have a magnetic headcap.
Actually I do my sewing while watching shows too. Especially anime that I've watched before so that I can listen to the voice actors and not pay too much attention on the action. Haha.

Welp, your sewing skills are definitely better than mine. :'D
How did you manage the patterns on Gintoki's sleeve? Were they painted on?

Honed from years of cosplay, I guess? Not that I've cosplayed a lot. Haha. Doll clothes are much easier than human clothes because of the size. And use much less time and cloth so it's budget friendly too.
I used a blue highlighter and a blue marker.

Yeah, but that means you'll have to be a lot more precise with the measurements too. Especially if you're making clothes for yo-sds and smaller. :'D
And just a highlighter and marker? That's amazing~~ *A* I was guessing fabric paint or something. haha

Good thing they are small and (more or less) willing models. XD
I did try out several types of markers and stuff on spare pieces of cloth, but the highlighter worked out the best. ^^
