After I went home, I slept close to 15 hours. I woke up at 2 pm, and I had to get ready for work. Feel free to check out my photo work. I'll be adding some expo photos in the next few days.

What program do you use to draw, and how do you select your colors?

I usually draw with a mechanical pencil with coloured lead then use photoshop to colour. I select colours through trail and error. Fill the canvas with your first choice of colours, if you feel like something is off use colour adjustment, etc. It takes a little time but the base should look as much like a finished picture as you can so when you add lighting and shadow its like your improving on top of a solid nice-looking base.

BTW This isn't supposed to be a personal or prejudice or whatever sort of question, but I must ask: Are you a Canadian Artist?

Same thing, the major influences, such as what's on TV, what videogames are most popular, what comics and illustrations are being viewed more not only over the internet. Let's take CyberSix's fame for example: the cartoon would influence more Canadian artist-fans than American artist-fans because it didn't air very long at all here in America. (for really dumb reasons... CyberSix was an amazing cartoon, and I'm in an almost desperate search for the original Argentinan comics! But that's another story.)
So there's just this particularly similar styles/style influences that I notcied a lot of Canadians share, so that's how I'm guessing LOL!

What is it you notice Candaian artists do with their work that is different tha American that allows you to spot them right away (other than make cybersix fan-art)? I am most curious? Also do you think ex-pats from other countries adopt these influences when they move?

LOL Nah, IDK about CyberSix, it isn't actually as popular as I hoped it would be; used it as an example because every single one of my Canadian acquaintances have heard about it but only one American and one Polish buddy each have. But once again, it's the influence on their styles. I don't really know what it entirely is, because all of my influences are individual artists I stumble upon or paintchat with from many different parts of the world rather than what's officially being broadcasted in my country; I don't interact with or spectate Canadian OR American mainstream for that matter LOL XD
But there must be certain shows and comics that are more popular in Canada that also influence artists' styles more. There's this animΓ©/manga feel, with both a sharp/angular and rounded feel. They also seem to use a lot of pastels or [actually very balanced] brights. And the eyes and noses... IDK how to explain that one.
Neh, I'm not sure about the latter part. Just has to do with how easily influenced they are, if they want to try the mainstream of the new culture they live in out or not.
