Thanks! You've been improving in digital as well! Yeah, I learned a lot from Control Paint as well as lots of other tutorials I randomly find around the web. Master studies and photo studies helped a lot as well.

Also, if you can, try to get James Gurney's Color and Light book. It's got lots of really good information about color. :D (Big Grin)

Thanks! Started digital end of April. Took years just to get to the starting line! I'm loving it, even if I feel like a two year old most of the time, fumbling around, constantly tripping and skinning my knees.

I've run across a lot of the references you sent, but haven't as yet checked them. After saturating my brain with Matt Kohr's videos and studying PS for the tech, I've been trying to limit my knowledge rather than expand it - just long enough to consolidate what I've learned, so I can actually use it. Don't want to hold more knowledge than I can use - that's sort of my motto. So, while I take a break from tech, I'm just doing art with the tech I already have. And, of course, while I focus on that two things happen - 1) I can't do the simplest things with it! and 2) I start picking up tech on the side! Haha. But it's all good. The first points me into areas I have to review and the second reinforces my digital knowledge and skill.

I will hunt down this book by James Gurney. Thanks.
