Im at Nottingham Trent uni studying Fine Art.In my first year and its all abit daughnting.
especially since sometime after christmas we'll be sharing studios with 2nd and 3rd yearsss :O
I love charity shops, and old books.. especially when they have the last owners name and adress in them , i think its lovley :)
I love my sewing machine.. although it hates me, and my typrwritter, that i have yet to buy a new ribbon forr.
Flowers, ribbon, lace and sunny days make me smile :)

mine didnt take me long, i just walked around town, and the castle zone, and took picture of things people dont take photoographs of, the things they know are there but they donet bother to look. Like the corners of tops of buildins and chimneys. Its all about attention really and i called it 'Love Me?' which put a spin on things when they started discussing it. haaha.
i didnt stay in long coz i was really ill, i was in bed from 7pm monday till we went to london wednesday.
but id of loved to of seen yours. are they still up?

Nah i took my work down...i think i'm going to put a picture of Jeff Buckley up in my space though, just because i have nowhere to put him in my room, and he deserves to be on the wall! I know it's not art, but he's a beautiful man.
How'd you find london? I must admit, i don't like the place, too busy and rowdy for me. I like little pretty places. The galleries were good though. Have you found someone to write a critical review about?

Same, and i too have reservations about writing a critical review on someone that alot of people will write about, just because the tutors have more essays to compare to one another, which in turn may mean that they are harsher.
I might start drafting it now as i know i could easily go well over 1000 words when i get going!
I went to the Haunch of Venison gallery...there's some amazing paintings in there by an artist called Jonas Burgert...i would've wrote an essay about them but they don't connect with my practice. Saw the Turner Prize 09 as well...biggest load of bollocks i've ever seen haha. I know that's kinda harsh but seriously, it was awful stuff.
How's the workshops going? Had a wood and metal health and safety induction today; pure tedium! I doubt i'll be using the wood and metal workshops much!

I had casting this week, which was good, the technician in there is lovely and very willing to help so i think i'll use it alot.
You going along to any of the exhibitions in nottingham? I've found an amazing one called Danse Macabre, which is a collective exhibition of artists who work with macabre themes. So excited about it!
