Ok, I'm back. Sorry about the delay; but like I said, I've been painfully busy lately. As for your "friendship", I kinda figured that's what you meant. I was just being diplomatic in case I was reading you wrong.  
As for switching jobs, I'm glad you managed to get a new one so quickly. Life is hard enough as is; but it's even worse if you don't have a steady source of income to support yourself. As much as you might like to pay your bills with good intentions, people just aren't happy unless you give them cash.

Haha, it's totally fine, but to be honest I was a bit worried my flaming queerness might have scared you off. XD Glad to see that is not the case!

But yeah, I was very fortunate to find another, not to mention one that pays better and is more manageable than my last one. It's super-close to home so I don't have to worry about going in late (unless I like, sleep in or something...even then I'm there in ten minutes), and my manager is a really nice guy. There's a couple of a-holes, but what job doesn't have those?

Anyway! Anything else new in your life? What's been going on, I hope things are going well. How's the draw request going?

Yeah B., don't worry about it. I think you'll find that, even though I'm straight, I'm pretty open minded about it. 

Well it sounds like the whole thing worked out pretty well for you. As for the a-holes at work, you're right, almost every job you get will have some people like that. So what was it that caused you to quit your old job so suddenly? 

As for myself, like I said, I've been rather busy lately. I'm still in the middle of reorganizing my place, which will probably take until the end of the year to finish; but it's getting done slowly but surely. And the draw request is coming along ok so far. I've been procrastinating a bit on it, but since I'm not getting paid for it, and I'm only doing it for practice, I only work on it when I feel like it. I'm drawing it in a manga like style, and right now I'm working on the eyes. I need them to look a certain way, so they're taking a little longer to do; but hopefully I should have that part done today.

Well, the long and short of it was that I felt overworked and under-appreciated, and coincidentally, I caught up with a couple old friends from my last job today at the store I work for now. They say it's gotten worse and they're worked to the bone because they're two of three supervisors that run the whole theater. We shared roundabout numbers of what we make now, and as it turns out I still make more than them because I'm paid overtime and holiday pay, even though they work all week and I'm usually off for at least two days every week. So basically, I was right and this job is way better.

Ahhh, I feel you on that bro. My least fave things to draw are eyes and hands. That's why most of my stuff is usually in cartoon style, haha. Even then it's hard to decide on how facial features should look. But I hope yours ends up like expected! Your recent art looks amazing, you're definitely improving. :3

Ok, I'm back. Once again, sorry for the delay. I finally got some spare time to answer all the email that's been piling up.

Well it sounds like everything worked out pretty well for you. I'm just glad you managed to land on your feet again so easily, and with better hours and a higher rate of pay to. 

Yeah eyes and hands can be a real challenge, but as I'm drawing them more and more often, I find it's getting easier to draw them. As for the eyes I was working on, they came out pretty well; but I decided to try a few other styles first before finally deciding which one to use for the drawing I'm working on. 

Have you been working on anything lately, or are you too tied up with other things right now.

Ahhhhh, sorry! Had my vacation and it was a freaking blast! :3 But now I'm back to woooork. TwT

I haven't been working on much of anything, minus some sketches here and there. Little things so I don't get too rusty. I've been doing a little writing on Archive Of Our Own, since I mainly deal with fanfic anyway. But those have been getting a lot of love, which I'm appreciative of. Even if one person reads them, I'm hella grateful because I put a lot into those fics.

Oh, that's ok. I've got some time off right now to. So I took the opportunity to go on a trip out of town to visit some family and friends. So what did you do on your vacation? 

As for your recent artistic activities; even if it's only a few sketches or some fanfic writing, it's good that you're working on something. I've got all kinds of projects that need my attention; but they'll just have to wait until I'm in the mood to work on them. 

So have you got any plans for Halloween this year, like you've done the last few Halloweens?

We toured around my hometown! Checked out the museums, the zoo, a few local arcades and shops...it was awesome just being with her. >//w//< How about you? How was/is your trip? :3

Hahaha, story of my life. I've got so much I wanna do but I just keep on sketchin'. I am planning on entering a contest soon, tho. It's to design a T-shirt for Rick and Morty! I hope I win, the first prize is like 2 grand.

I dunno, probably just gonna do what I did last year; make some cookies, watch black and white horror movies, and eat candy and sugar until I pass out, LOL. Got any plans yourself?

Yeah it sounds like you really enjoyed yourself. My trip was pretty good to. While I was in Ottawa we went to this event called "Pumpkin Inferno". It was an event in a historic village where they put out displays of over 7,000 pumpkins carved into all kinds of different things. It was really mind blowing what they had there. 

Well there's nothing wrong with only sketching, some of my best work started out that way; and it helps keep your art skills sharp to. Wow, 2 thousand dollars, that's a pretty good prize. It would be really great if you won. 

Ok, than nothing too special; but it still sounds like it could be fun. As for me, unfortunately I'll be working that evening; but with all the fun I had at pumpkin inferno, it's almost like I've had my Halloween already. So I don't think I'll miss too much.

Well, I'm glad you had such a good time! I love pumpkin carvings, and seeing what people can turn them into, so that sounds like a good time to me, too. ^w^ Nothing better for Halloween than that, I still try to carve at least one a year, even though it's mainly for the aesthetic of the season, since we don't get any trick-or-treaters.

I know, it'd be amazing to win that. owo I don't think I'll get first prize, but might as well try, right? Plus, I have something to make for a friend of mine, he asked to "commission" me but I'd never charge him for real. He's like a brother to me.

Yeah, it really was a cool thing to see. I'm pretty imaginative when it comes to pumpkin carving; but Pumpkin Inferno took pumpkin carving to a whole new level. I'd go to that event again anytime. 

So how did that contest go, did you win anything? As for the commission you're working on, do get commissions very often?

Well it was a pretty slow day at work that day, but I get days like that sometimes.

I'd say my favorite one was this Chinese Dragon. Even though there were lots of really cool pumpkin carvings, it was probably the best one I saw.  
And yes, this is about 100 pumpkins connected together. 

I'm sorry to hear you missed the deadline for the contest. It's kind of annoying to work on something, only to hear you can't use it for what you wanted. Well maybe you can use it as an entry in another contest later on. As for commissions, I've never had any of those. All I ever get are people who want requests that are free.
