# About me
I joined dA in 2005, this is my second account. I have done graphics and web design, photography (digital and darkroom) and music arrangements. My current area of focus are digital painting, fantasy cartography, and fiction writing. I'm currently writing my debut novel, an court intrigue fantasy with swords and sorcery.I hold a honours bachelor of arts in philosophy, specializing in ancient, early modern and modern analytic philosophy. I am currently practicing corporate and commercial law at a boutique law firm.

I hope your work is going well and that you've settled into it nicely.

I did move to a new law firm recently, and I'm liking the new place a lot better. It's a busier firm and the stress level is pretty high when big deals are coming through, but the people are much nicer and the work is more interesting. I think it's a good trade-off.
I do miss the abundance of leisure time that I had as a student though. There's a million things that I can't do because chores and cooking get in the way after work.

I hear ya. I am busier now than I've ever been.
I'm still trying to work on my own projects, but it is taking a big backseat to my commercial work.
It's good. Good and bad. But good. It's paying the bills.

Are you still in corporate law? or did the move entail a change in type of law?

I moved from corporate to real estate, which turns out a lot more complex. I was actually surprised that this firm gave me an offer, I was pretty frank with them that I had very little real estate experience, but apparently they were fine with that.

I'm busy as hell, over time everyday at work pretty much, and sometimes there's friction between my colleagues and myself which makes work harder. Such is life I guess.
