Hey! I saw your post in the forum and that person's response... I'm not sure what has them so fired up over nothing, but I'm sorry you got a response like that. What they said was totally uncalled for. They must have been having a bad day.
As for expressions...I wish I could be more help, but what I usually do is type the expression I want into a google search and use them for references. I just typed in "expression tutorials" into Google and found a lot of good posts:

Or I've heard even some people practice by looking the mirror and using their own face, haha. There are a lot of good things on Tumblr too. It'd be worth checking out, I think. One of my favorite artists on there is Kelpls and she has some nice general tutorials:

I love using other people's faces for expressions, there are so many types of "looks" to making an expression. It takes a lot of time to find the right one I'm trying to create in a feeling of art. I hope you found the expression that you're looking towards making :'o!
