conan is newer and so doesn't have nearly as much info, but basically he's a loud, pretty annoying irish man who finds it hard to find people who actually want to spend time with him and so is kind of perpetually lonely lmao. he really likes getting into other peoples business. he's the kind of person you get secondhand embarrassment from being around, mostly. he does his best though and usually means well, he just has an odd personality and can't really keep his mouth shut

aaa i'm really glad you like him..... developing the conflicted part of his character was fun even though it's kind of depressing, i feel like it makes him a lot more interesting for having it. and yeah, it is another thing that he's catholic in protestant england haha. most people don't really notice that detail since it's overshadowed by his bigger conflicts..Β Β
irish characters are extremely good, i'm sad i only have i think... three but one is a minor character and one is irish-american lmao. Conan is connected with ed! they're sort-of-friends, in a way that's like, it would seem like they were to an outside observer, and they pretty much are, but really it's mostly conan who's forcing the thing. he has nobody else who's willing to spend time with him, and ed's too nice to tell him to leave him alone even though ed doesn't enjoy being around him (he's too loud and blunt, and is sometimes mean or rude without realizing it..)Β

yeah, conflict is always a good thing to keep a character interesting imo.. that's true, people generally aren't big fans of conan and don't trust him lol. he doesn't really trust or like them either though, he's definitely not a fan of the english (edwin being an exception to the rule lol). i'm glad you like them though aa ;;Β
your story sounds really interesting! i really love stories that take place over a really long period of time tbh. i enjoy those sorts of plots a lot... honestly all the characters sound super interesting and i really like the idea of it in general... its very good

yep i agree, i get bored with OCs who face no real problems in their lives. And awwe again what a lonely boy Conan is. at least he has Edwin hehe. And again the English wouldn't trust Edwin too bc he's catholic so he and Conan are together in that haha
