You are like, a god. I got the pin and earrings today. Not only do I love it... but I LOVE it... it's so beautiful, I left it out for my mom to see and she loves it too. I'm positive my girlfriend will love it, I can't wait to send it to her.

Ya know, I'm not sure if the lightning actually struck that post or not. I think it was further away, near the mountains and just the angle makes it look like it hit the post... either that or yes I was almost fried :eep:
And I love that pic of me jumping, i'm glad my roommate got it in one take too, there was a ton of goose crap on the grass

If the lightning didn't hit the lamp post It sure made an effort to look like it did! It gets brighter as it comes down, as if it's getting closer. It terminates right at the post. The glow is as bright (if not brighter) under that lamp as it is the one closest to you - compare that the next farthest away and there are magnitudes of difference. Of course you were there and if it had been that close you'd have known it from the hair standing on end, the ringing in your ears, and the ozone smell, but it still looks like you were almost cooked!

Good point, although I don't remember my hair standing on end or ozone smell or anything... but who knows, at least I didn't get fried right?

Oh and I have a question, I took a look at your website and I love the things you make, especially several of the pins. Do you ever do custom work, if so does that cost a lot more to do? I need to find something for my girlfriend's birthday and I don't know what to get her.

A custom item of similar construction and materials as one of my production pieces wouldn't be much more, depends on how complicated it is. Maybe +10% or thereabouts. Drop me an email with a description of what you want and I'll draw up some ideas, no charge or obligation, and get them to you with a price quote.

I love travel, do it when I can. I've been fortunate so far to be able to travel a bit.
As for the G5, it's my first digital camera (after shooting with my old SLR for about 8 years). I love it, there is nothing about it I don't like. It's the perfect camera IMO, versatile enough to do everything I could ever want with it, but also quite simple to use, the flip LCD comes in handy SO many times...
Ok I swear I don't work for Canon, although I wish I did so I could get free gear

Thank you kindly for the comment sir. There were deer all over the place, but most of them, even the males, were about the size of this one. Which is a bit odd as I'm used to seeing NA deer, which are quie a bit bigger.
And you're from Nashville? Sweet! I love the Predators... they're my 2nd favorite NHL team, and just a few months ago I got a Vokoun jersey
