thank you! I was thinking about making a tutorial myself soon. A lot of what I do is trial and error, but ive found the better the tablet the better the result for me, it really is worth investing in a good computer tablet. I also like to play with light and contrast, it really adds depth to a portrait, especially if you want something more realistic and accurate. The best advice I could give you is to practice!, if you do a lot of traditional work apply some of the same techniques to your digital portraits. some of my favourite tutorials are: [link] and Calaymo has some fantastic tutorials if you want to do more "realistic" portraits [link]
