No the buyer had to back out of the commission, so it is actually up for sale.

I hate when my customers do that. I have quite a few sketches that customers backed out on, cause they couldn't afford to get it inked.Β Luckily i make them setup appointments, and drop at least a $20 deposit on drawings that take more than an hour to do.Β Pretty sure its the same all over, but people here like to come in with these big elaborate plans for their ink, and then balk when you give them a price.
I've even had a few who've come in, gotten a sketch drawn up, then left when they didn't like my price. Then they end up going to another shop to get them to do it for cheaper, only to end up coming back to me to fix or cover the other artist's fuckups. It amuses me actually, cause i get to rub it in their face lol. "Should have just let me do it, you would have paid less in the long run"

Yeah I get a down-payment too prior to starting (I just do designs, I'm not a tattooist). At least this guy told me he needed to back out. The worst is the dead silence, esp. on here where I can see if they read my private messages. I have to bug them until they confess.
