Just liked the theme of the poor elf getting captured and transformed for the amusement of his captors - especially since the stories didn't seem like they would lead to his escape any time soon. Β Β

Y'know, I don't have all my notes on that one anymore? I wasn't into the whole notebooking thing like I am now, so I have no real idea where the story was going. I did have three chapters or so, but I probably lost it in a drive wipe.
Their setting was an early version of what I call the "Feloni-Verse," named after a half-orc spellthief who bought another Oracle at a surface slave market. In the ancient past, the elves had driven the humans from the fertile belt west of the mountains, up into the frigid north. The humans then nursed their grudges until a chieftain called the Bloodlord discovered the secret of counter-magic, which allowed the humans to head south and slaughter the elves wholesale. The Bloodlord himself kicked the door of Valhalla down and began slaughtering the old pantheon, to try establishing himself as the only god. The last act of the old pantheon was to split the elves into Mountain (cliff dwellers), Plains (obvious), and Dark (deep underground) populations.
This setting is not dead, by the way. Just dormant. I've been known to post on smashwords, but I also have anxiety and that gives me a tendency to unpublish my work if it doesn't get any sales. That's also why I don't post much on dA anymore- I never got many hits, so I had a very hard time staying motivated to keep writing.
