I just downloaded them and set them as my wallpaper with no issues. I noticed you're using linux which could be the reason why. Again, just change the .jpg to .bmp (:
Essentially my wallpapers are edited to be higher quality for windows. They work perfectly fine on Mac as well but Linux must be finnicky with them. I'll look into it, thank you.

If you want to use it, just change the extension from .JPG to .BMP and it should work.

It shouldn't work when changing it to .PNG as it is a .BMP file renamed to .JPG so windows applies the background at full quality. However, if its working for you then brilliant! I'll make sure to start including a .PNG for linux users in my wallpapers from now on!

well, I just open it with GIMP in my linux and it open so perfectly. Then I export it to .PNG file, save it and set it as my wallpaper. If I have done with my bash, I will post a screen shot and credit it to you for a great wallpaper...

Dankeschone! Glad all is finally working now. I'm quite perplexed as to why Mac OS X deals with it fine but Linux doesn't because as far as I'm aware, they're both based on Unix BSD.

I started with linux in 2007, switched from Windows Vista to Feisty Fawn (ubuntu) on my old dell. I mainly use Linux to just quickly boot up and check the web. Windows 7 for everything else.

What are you trying to do with it? You want to open it in a photo editing software, change the .jpg to .bmp
