Of course! It's always a wonderful experience to look at another artist's work, but it's also great to see what influences them, and what direction they want to take their art in. I like your style, and your taste. I look forward to following your art work, and watch you get even better

I feel like people don't do that enough, look at an artist's inspirations. People get hooked to a person's "style" and not knowing they inspiration from such and such artists. I do it all the time when I find new artists I like, cause they might like something I'd like since I like their work.

I hear you there, that's why I love those art inspiration memes some people do. Whenever I spot an artist I've followed for a while that's put together an influence map, or something similar it really helps put where their style came from into perspective. That, and it's a great way to find more artists. We're always being told in animation class to, not just look at an artist, but what influences them. But that's with regards to writing style/plot as well as art.

Also, on a side note, after talking to you I've started reading your web comic through the link on your DA. I'm really enjoying reading it! I was reading it with my boyfriend, and the characters, the plot, it's really fun to sit down to.

You are totally right about it applying to all arts. I've been wanting to do one of those influence maps and just never sit down and do it. I give the professor(s) who told you that advice a high five. Animation, eh? What school do you go to?  

Yeesss, I saw your reblog and comments. It makes me happy you liked the abrupt tonal shift after the nightmare. Wanted it to be, "alright, moving along, oh look funny!" There going to be more stuff like that.

Yes, I feel it's very important to understand that sort of thing can be applied to more then just visual arts.
Eh, I know that feeling. I've wanted to do an influence map too, but I just feel like it's hard to pinpoint... say, just 10 artists for example that influence you, when in reality it's a huge mixture of people. But I do want to do it because it might give me a better grasp on the direction I want to take my style in.
Haha, I'm feel very lucky to have the professors I do. I have a lot to learn from them. I got to Falmouth University on the coast of England. Animation has been the foundation of all my art inspiration. I'm a UK student but I want to work on US productions when I get out of school. I'm fortunate to have a US citizenship, which, if I work hard enough might make that possible.
What line of work to you intend to go into? If you don't mind me asking.

YES! I really did love it! And I could tell it was a deliberate shift. It's very unsettling, in an intriguing way though. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to go back and read it yet (busybusybuys) But I have the tumblr page bookmarked on my computer.

Yeah, I am influenced by so many, narrowing it down will be tough. Oh, cool. I, too, and pursuing work in the animation industry. Just graduated with my BFA in animation, now to find work hahahaaa . . .

Oh wow! That's a pretty cool coincidence, and congratulations on graduating! I keep being told what a surprisingly small industry it is. You never know, maybe we'll end up crossing paths in future, haha.

YEAH, having made more friends in the field since graduating, you learn that everyone pretty much knows everyone to some degree, especially on social media like twitter.
