I am loving putting together your Portal Turret model.
My kids have just discovered Portal, and are rather obsessed lately.Β I'm contemplating printing out this model on a large plotter, and using that as a dress-pattern style template on top of cardboard.Β Maybe even get life sized.
The end goal of this idea is a killer Halloween consume.Β Β
Thinking about scaling this up- it may need to have more folds to get closer to round curves.Β From what I can tell, the 3D model coming into Pepakura would need to have that.
Any chance you still have the original files, or recommendations on massivly scaling this up?

It looks better than it works sadly. The added weight of the 200 gsm paper adds more friction to every gear. Also, I used a beech stick inside the alluminium tube, which twists itself without forwarding the turning force 100 % to the first gear of the cube. It turns after all, but just with one hand on the handle and one helping the gears on top turn.
The overall look is fantastic though, I'm really happy with the quality of the build.
