Dear artistinME57 Cindy can I ask how you go about creating one of your images. Do you see the finished piece in your minds eye or does it develop as you go along, my technique (or as I call it "hit and hope")
Bill

Hi Bill, I have to say that I have only a vague idea of where I want to go when I start a piece. Since text is such an essential element of my work, if there is a plan, it is based on how do I best build the visual image that evokes the words. But, I don't have the specific elements set. It is add, subtract, alter, paint, erase part or all.
Yes, hit or miss sometimes applies, but, sometimes it is just a bit more ordered. Thanks so much for your interest in my work and for your very kind comments.

Cindy of course Im interested in your work, its good!
I come to this digital thing very late in life I only used a computer for my music programs and to be honest I am a bit of a technophobe. I prefer things made of wood! So I have to keep things very simple, hence my hit and miss approach. Im amazed at some of the talent on devart but Im just happy plodding on doing things I do. Its a big buzz when someone says something nice about my paltry efforts not that Im looking for any compliments. After all what do we do it for, others or for ourselves.Β
Lovely of you to reply, where do you live in the States if you dont mind me asking?
Bill

Thanks for your very kind comments, they mean so much to an old Luddite like me! I think, on looking at your work, we have the same vision and share the same heart. Possibly the same apps! Love the text stuff you seem a lady of deep feeling. Love Bill
