Hey hey. What did you think of number 1? I was stoked, I was tipping Hilltops but I did vote for One Crowded Hour so I was rather happy.

It was weird, I wasn't expecting one crowded hour would make it into the top 20 let alone come first! I knew black fingernails, red wine would make into the top three... they pushed that song much too much. I think this year's 100 is much better than last year's, but it's nothing compared to 2003. That was a kickarse year for the 100. Jet arrived on the scene back then and Magic Dirt had released Tough Love earlier that year. It was a shame that a couple of Sarah Blasko's new songs didn't make it into this year's, but the Js have gone a little commercial ever since they got their hands on Missy... what can I say. I'm glad the Scottish shitheads (aka. Fucking Franz Ferdinand) didn't have a billion songs polluting it. Did The Living End get one in this year? I know Ben Folds did again...

I heard gotye on the soundlab about a year b4 JJJ did a feature album on him, and i disliked him at first, but he's alright now. I am over the moon that konichiwa bitches didn't make it in, it's the crappiest piece of pop i've ever heard - which is saying a lot really cos it even surpassed Franz in crapness. I love Ben Kweller's song about a dress, but i didn't vote for it. I think it's great the top three were all australian, shows tripleJ hasn't completely sold out.
Btw, did I mention on here that I saw the Go-Betweens tribute concert at the Tivoli? It was a kickarse gig! I was in the front row too... there's a piccy of me in the JJJ gallery [link] number 14, I'm the guy on the far right.

Yeah, I could use filters, the only one I have though is a UV filter which comes in handy if it's raining, but most of the alterations I make are minor contrasty things anyway, so filters become slightly redundant there.
