Wardell "War" Brown is a freelance cartoonist and comic book artist known mostly for his neo-retro styled vector cartoons working out of San Diego, California.Greatly influenced by 1960βs advertising cartoons Wardellβs style has been called neo-retro, meaning a contemporary take of classic cartoons styles. Wardell uses vector computer programs to create sharp graphics with vivid colors for use in print and web media.
Wardell is currently working as a freelance artist doing work for magazine, video games, animation, t-shirts and skateboard decks.

Β Β Β Β Β man, I must say that you are indeed a monster talent with some serious madskillz man! your galleries are indeed 100% Badass awesome and Kickass excellence! You can do anything from drawing, to Painting, to writing, to even help designing video games and making comic books. As you can see that I have quite a few of your masterpieces in my faves and simply can't wait for your upcoming stuff as well.

My best advice would be to draw as much as you can. Draw anything and everything! Don't worry if the drawing doesn't come out great the first, second, or third time. Be willing to D.I.A. (Draw It Again) and again and again. Β Don't worry about developing a style, that will come naturally. Β Don't put any pressure on yourself to create a masterpiece every time. If you are having fun you will keep at it and you will get better.Β
