um, well, its not as hard as it looks.
this [link] was made by following a youtube tutorial for GIMP. i just mucked around with the buttons and found how to get different lights and glares, added them in and made a second one [link] . heres the tutorial to it: [link]
'black hole' was made a while ago but i forgot to upload it, so i cant remember how exactly how i did it. i previously followed a gimp tutorial on how to make a big coulorful swirly thing (cant find the youtube link, sorry). i used the background stars from the space tutorial, the swirl from the swirly thing tutorial, and just added a light and some other thing. its pretty easy.
check on youtube and google for some gimp tutorials. theyre easy to follow and you can make some awesome stuff. this is useful: tracing a hand drawn image: [link] .there are heeeeps more out there, so its a good idea to go have a search.
