# About me
In real life I am a translator for Russian and French, and I love to spend my spare time writing. I have published two books so far, and a bunch of short stories and poems in various anthologies.As a kid I loved to draw and paint, but I lost this over the years that kept me busy with language studies and translation work.
Through photography which became my favourite hobby back in 2008 when I replaced my traditional camera by a digital camera, I slowly found my way back to art.
I am not too ambitious in art, it's a hobby and a passion, and I am just glad that it has become a part of my life again.

hope your recovery will not be as bad as hubby.....his operation for that was in oct and still in pain.......the doc said it will be about 1 and 1/2 years for complete recovery

I just saw this and was wondering how your husband is doing after all this time.
At the moment, I am doing okay. I still experience some episodes of numbness or pain, though. But this seems to be normal. Nothing dramatic.

I've seen my first orange tip in years this morning. I will have to get a bunch of beautiful zinnias to make them pose for me

Thanks for the faves! I have only seen those common white butterflies so far this year...lots of honey bees, but none of those big black and yellow guys that were here last Summer. And the hummingbirds are here...about a dozen who spend the day quarreling over the feeders, then, at sunset, all get together for a last drink before toddling off to perch for the night.
