# About me
Tom is an artist who lives in Seal Beach, California. He received his B.A. in Communications from Metropolitan State University, a Certificate in Film Writing from UCLA, and an M.S. in Urban Planning from Cal Poly. His master's thesis was "The Elements of a Successful Artist Colony." Throughout his career he has written several educational films, performed for a few years as a Stand-up Comedian, and worked as the Assistant for the President of Buena Vista Television. Tom recently won First Place in Young Adult Fiction from the Society of Childrenβs Book Writers and Illustrators, Los Angeles. He currently works as an Associate Planner for the City of Los Alamitos, CA.Current Residence: California

Congratulations on the interview Tom. I like your responses! You'd LOVE the architecture where I'm at in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Victorian houses everywhere and lots and lots of beautiful architecture!

Oh definitely. I love the architecture of New England. It is amazing how much more work they used to put into older buildings. I wish I could live two places at once so I could have that inspirational environment too, ha!
