Even though I'm mostly silent on dA, I have to drop by and say that: Holy HELL you progressed massively in the last time. O_o Your drawings impress me always again, whenever I get a notification about a new upload or when I drop by to check out your gallery once more. It's just perfect, from the colours to the perspective to the sometimes surreal and sometimes incredibly realistic motives. ^^ Love it. Especially when you start to mix reality and your version of what you see.

It is a relief to hear from a professional artist that progress is indeed taking place in my workshop. 
Although I have a few friendly mentors in my hometown like GreeGW whom I can ask about what to try and which direction to take, most of the time I am forced to be my own critic, often overdoing that role to an unhealthy degree. And track of the big picture tends to get lost that way.

We often miss to see our own progress. I guess it's mostly because we're there to see it daily. A bit like watching a kid grow. And the moment you take your eyes of it, it seems to shoot up. And we tend to overdo it with our own idea of what progress needs to look like. After all, most people out there tell you how you have to get from zero to hero within a few weeks. And they completely ignore that it sometimes takes years. Especially in a sector where you can't cheat your way to the top, like art.
Mentors are always great, especially if they are as skilled as yours. OwO I got a few friends who work hard on finding mistakes in my drawings, which kinda turns into a bit of a battle: I do my best so they won't find mistakes and they work harder on finding mistakes. Which makes me try harder again too.
