I have walked the Earth's crustSeen those borne of it's dust
For many, their souls are as black as the dirt they were born from
But there are also those whose souls glisten with light comparable to the rising sun.
Mine is tattered and blackened, yet shining and shimmering, torn between the two as I hang in the twilight
Mine eyes stinging with tears, I do not know whether I face sunrise or sunset, but come what may, this lonely shepherd will tread toward the light.
