Yes! In my headcanon, sometime after Sunset returns to Equestria, she gains her alicorn status, and rules alongside Twilight. Starlight also later gains her alicorn status, but the power proves too much, and she returns to her old villainous ways, and tries to usurp the throne by battling Twilight, and manages to defeat her in battle. Sunset of course chooses to try and rescue Twilight from falling, but whether or not she succeeds is up to the viewer c:

I see. An alicorn Starlight would be a very difficult foe to try to cotend with since she's such a powerhouse as she is already. It'd be very interesting to see where this goes, if you decide to continue this of course
