Mmmm, your abstract objects are very interesting. They are really fun pieces to look at (the town and the guitar). however, the abstracted figures don't thrill me as much, partly because those aren't my thing. But still, it is a surprise that you haven't received more recognition on here.

Well, I wish you the best of luck, and thank you for the fav.

Thank you for your comment

I signed up years ago, but just recently started to submit work....trying to figure out how to navigate the site. Have any tips on how to get more views/recognition from the rest of the site?I am not good w/ technology lol

Thanx for you time

Katie

For this site in particular I have found that there are a few things that help in getting people interested in you:
- While you are browsing, if you see a piece that really speaks to you, leave a helpful comment of decent length with a slight critique. Basically, a comment that has substance. More than the basic, "oh wow I love it," because that generally gets overlooked and seems superficial. Leaving a good comment shows that you are knowledgeable (or at least helpful) and you have a greater chance of people going to your page and look around.
- Try to find a group to join. You would probably benefit from a fine arts type group. There are tons of groups to join so just find one that you think is a decent fit and put in a request to join. If it's an active group you'll get a reply in a few days. Then you can submit new pieces from your gallery to the group. Groups are a great way for many people of a common interest to see your stuff. The work you submit needs to stand out though (whether in subject of technique) for people to want to view it further.
and lastly
- Keep a steady stream of work. If you go a couple of months without posting, it is very unlikely that the people who have decided to follow you will stay interested if they do not see anything from you. A decent finished piece every other week is a decent number. A finished piece a week is most likely ideal. It's a challenge, but challenges can only make you better. If you are very prolific, or if you fall behind on posting stuff, do not posting everything at once. Not only does that full up the inbox of the people watching you, but it also puts your work in a huge group on the browsing pages, which means that they can be easily overlooked. To get views off of the browsing section you need to have work that stands out.

Patience is key however. With more people favoriting your stuff comes more people who are likely to see your work, which leads to me subscribers, and the cycle continues. It'll start off slow, but as long as you keep a steady stream of work going it will steadily pick up.
Best of luck to ya! Sorry for the length (I just had a conversation with a friend of mine about this very thing. We thought about it a lot lol).
