Thanks for the kind words Jeff, appreciated. The last 4 years has been rough, mainly ongoing non-stop health issues.
It gets a bit rough at times and everything is put on hold, again, but life must go on.
Last night I sat and went through 180 plus of your images just to catch up with you.
Still got others to do!

Noticed the difference in the image/sharpness quality once that 'L' lens arrived on the scene!
I keep thinking about it but with my hot and cold nature with photography cannot justify the outlay.

"Life must go on." That's the key isn't it? I'm glad that you can see it that way and continue to move forward with your life in spite of the health challenges. I admire that very much. 

Best investment I've made, this lens and camera. But living in a new place that provides more photographic opportunities within a five minute walk (even from my balcony) certainly doesn't hurt. I'm taking photos all the time it seems and loving it. Sometimes it annoys my wife!

I can't sit still. Like to be active, but occasionally, forced into inactivity, but that's life

I will probably bite-the-bullet one day and invest in another camera and 'L' lenses.
My 400D is 7 years old now. I can tell that by the number of folders produced in the card, on number 6 now.
My last image shot today was 7830. So 5 x 9999 = 49995 + 7830, that is 57,825 images out this camera. So it's doing good.

The house is almost complete, finally! It seems to 
have taken forever. We're hoping to move in by
mid May. I can't wait! The only problem is we
haven't sold our current home yet. Hopefully soon
because the bank is getting richer and we're getting
poorer. Not to worry, we'll get there eventually.

I bet you are chuffed, just the hassle of moving now, never easy!
Sounds like your housing market is like ours, down in the dumps, but slowly picking up.
All yes, the banks have to get their bite of the cherry, and normally a big one at that!
My wife, son and daughter all work for the same bank, in the same place, so I know what they are like!

Indeed! Moving won't be too bad. The last two times
we did I had babies so this time round should be easier
with two adult daughters. Mind you they're not the most
helpful of creatures so I'll probably end up doing it all myself!
It's a buyers market here at the moment, a lot of houses
to choose from so they like to really shop around and take
their time. 
They all work in the same bank! I hope that means you all
get a good interest rate.

Adult daughter & moving, and as you say - are they compatible?
Luckily I am in a position not to require a good interest rate - everything is paid for.
However, a good interest rate on investments would not go amiss.
You take care and 'enjoy' the move - then feet up and relax
