# About me

My website is the best place to go to find out about what I do! In general I research art and crafts from about a thousand years ago, and then combine it with what's around at the moment.

This is partly because I reckon that too many babies got thrown out with the bath water during the modern period, but also because I recognise that many of the ways in which our lifestyle has changed as a result of the clockwork age is very beneficial.
So keeping the best from the past, following a path of Faith and learning to live in the digital age is my art.

Oh yeh, If you would like to commission a digital illumination of your name, someone else's name or another piece of text, please let me know!

I've got a week ago a dress patterns for a corsage. ^^
It is only necessary to make the photos and upload them.

Maybe you have an idea for a leather work?

Have you tried working with vegetable tanned leather and tooling patterns into it?Β www.facebook.com/clarice.milli…

I've tried it, but always failed. :/
Especially with patterns in leather.
Do you have a special leather if it is to succeed? o.O

Aye, the leather need to be vegetable tanned - not modern chromed. Modern chemical Β finishes protect the leather from scuffing, marking and damage, which is great - unless you want to mark a design on it. Once you have the right leather you need to moisten it. Rub it with a damp sponge on the rough side and then on the smooth side. Wait until it returns to it's natural colour and the moisture should have moved through the leather. Then it should be possible to "draw" on the leather with a blunt stylus and leave the marks.
