Heyo, do you do tanning of hides, scales and leather? I have some questions for you.

Hides and leather are the same thing in terms of tanning, though I've never tanned reptile hides. I don't mind answering some questions though, and will do so to the best of my ability. Just gonna go shower first so give me like 30-45 minutes. Sorry for the late response to begin with, I actualy just woke up.

ok, i got this frog skin, i ran it through salt first, then added it into fridge with a water, salt, pickling spices and rubbing alchohol mixture, then resalted again
Anyways, with that being said, it got a slight froggy-smell and its dry like a paper, and seeming odd 'discoloration' underneath it...am confuzzled.
Also do you have a good tanning and softening mixture/solution?

Yikes. For a pickle you really just need water and alum, a pickling salt. You don't need the rubbing alcohol or anything else added.
If you didn't get all the fat/grease out, that would be why it discoloured, though some hides also discolour as they dry.
The 'borax and alum thing' isn't a tan either, nor is any solution people use alum to tan with. This is an issue I run into a lot in the meat rabbit group I'm in. Alum + water = A pickling solution, but so many treat it as a tan, and borax does basically the same thing as salt, only serving to dry it out.
Thankfully with frogs you don't have to worry about slippage since they lack fur. I personally use the commercial Deer Hunter and Trappers formula. It's an orange bottle that you can find at Bass Pro and most hunting and trapping supply stores. As for softening after the fact, since frog skin is so delicate, I'm not sure what to tell you. You could try breaking it like other leathers but I'm afraid it would rip. Neatsfoot oil might work, you can find it in any store that sells horse tack, usually over by the saddles.
Honestly if you just want to use it in a shadowbox or some other display I'd leave it as is.
