inspired me to try another piece in 3ds.
btw do u have also any experience in Dreamscape?
after seeing your Sierra Nevada piece, i wanted to know which tool produces the better landscape results, Geocontrol or Dreamscape.
(p.s. 23+ Billion Polygons on the Sierra Nevada? i guess that wasn't your typical home-pc you rendered that with)

I've used dreamscape just to create some ocean shots for a piece I was worked on. Haven't dealt with the terrain part yet...
I'm still learning how to use Geocontrol, and so far it seems like a pretty fun program!
As far as 23 billions polys goes.... Those are VUE polys. Not so sure if those are "real" polygons/triangles, but it would be good to know! I've had 10+ million polygons in some scenes in Maya/3DSMax and my computer cries.
