Thank you.Β
I really wish I had time to join one but I'm already swamped with life
I've never tried playing by post though I did start to try and write a postal campaign to play with some friends.Β But it quickly grew complicated to GM and the players didn't put in the effort to reply after a couple of turns.
I played Vampire: The Masquerade by Skype and that was much more successful.Β Unfortunately, that group sort of fell apart after a while too.

I'm just as bad, my friend.Β Β
Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year to you.
And by the way, did you read 'The Case of the Lamentably Late Llama.Β I finally got around to writing it after our conversation more than a year ago and gave you a mention and credit because without you I'd never have written it.
Hope you like/d it.

I finally got round to reading the story yesterday, in preparation for this reply, which I intended to make immediately after, but of course did not.Β Still, better late than never, I reckon.
Y'know, Paul, I have to say that I didn't like the story.Β I LOVED it!Β And that being the case, I suppose it would be churlish of me to point out that Watson and Mary Morstan were married in 1889, so I won't, nor will I mention that this works better with Watson saying that he'd been with Holmes for 'several years'.
Gad, I'm a cheeky bastard, ain't I?
Anyway, I very much appreciate being given credit for inspiring the story.Β And I was delighted to find that you had worked in that drawing--hey, is it just me, or do your Holmes & Watson in fact resemble Benedict Cumberbatch & Martin Freeman? (At the time of posting I was unaware of Sherlock.)Β I've no idea about the cow, so I shall have to ruminate on it...
I don't have to do much thinking about whether or not to see the recently released film Holmes & Watson, an alleged comedy starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, which, from what I've gathered from reviews and a detailed summary of the plot, would seem to be a steaming pile of cow shit, si tu me pardonnes mon français.
I hope you'll also pardon me for signing off now; I'm feeling very tired and a little ill (icky tummy), so I'm going to lie down for a while.

Hello again, my friend.
Sorry it took me so long to reply.Β Β
I'm glad you enjoyed my little tale of the esteemed detective.Β I strived to keep it in character as much as I could, down to Watson's very English (of the time) slightly arrogant prudishness, and Holmes intellectual arrogance and lack of regard for social nicities.Β But I'm not a scholar of Holmes adventures other than an omnibus so I was bound to get at least one detail wrong lol.
Yes, the Holmes and Watson in the drawing are based on the Sherlock actors even if the likenesses aren't great π
Yes, I agree.Β The new movie appears to be the defications of the cow in the story.Β I couldn't even make it through the full trailer without switching channels in disgust.
Personally I think I'd rather bleach my eyeballs than watch it.
I hope you're feeling better now.Β Too much chocolate and Turkey over Xmas perhaps?
I wish I could come up with a recipe involving both.Β After all, they are they only foodstuffs you have an excess supply of after Christmas.Β Possibly with an alcoholic sauce to make it palatable lol.

Thank you so much for the detailed commentary you left on Guess Who? Andrei Danilovich Novokshonov!
Really, it means so much to receive such a detailed and thorough commentary and analysis!
I can't tell how much it boosted my confidence and gave me confidence to work with Andrei.
Thank you again.
I notice you often give detailed commentaries, and I wanted to personally thank you for taking the time and putting forth the time and energy to help fellow artists and creators by providing these necessary and much welcome commentaries.
Thank you so much again.

You're most welcome
I always consider myself a writer first and could picture Andrei's story in the images you provided, sort of like a story that wrote itself
I'm glad you liked it and I'm always happy to help others.
And you can probably tell that 'Guess Who is definitely my favourite task in OC-Training.Β I love the chance to play Sherlock Holmes with everyone's characters... or perhaps more like Scooby Doo
And as they say 'we give what we hope to receive in return', or something like that anyway.Β If one of my comments encourages that person to do the same for someone else, well I consider that time well spent

Thank you again, I can't thank you enough for the detailed commentary and analysis.
I too consider myself a writer first, and it is great to get feedback from a fellow writer who understands the complexity of characters and their backgrounds.
It's great to meet people like you, people who give so much to help others in their creativity. Thank you again.
Yes, you definitely have a super keen sense of perception and deduction- yours is probably the most accurate guess out of all the guesses here!
Your commenting certainly inspires many, and it certainly inspires me to comment on other's works (and yours of course!) and encourage them. Thanks for starting the cycle of spreading good vibes and thoughtful feedback/encouragement for others here in this community!

Hello~ I'm here for the IMHO task for round seven of c:Β
First off, I'm not a professional, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt. I'm not great at explaining things, but I'll do my best. Feel free to ask me questions if you have any~ I'd be most delighted to answer!
Sorry this is on your profile and not in your gallery--DA was being impossible and not letting me load comments >
1: I think your strongest artistic ability is your layout. Everything flows so nicely together and the eye is easily lead around the illustration. You've got a knack for composition and flow. My personal favorite examples are 'Pay your BILLS', Aesha's body type profile, and Aesha's 'Guess Who'. I especially like 'Pay Your BILLS'. Not only for the wonderfully cheesy pun, but everything is linked together in a nice circular flow, and one figure leads to the next, and so on. Really effective scene staging c:
2: You're good at creating simple and effective gestures to get a point across (see Aesha's wardrobe challenge). None of the figures in the wardrobe challenge have faces, but the emotions of the character are easy to determine based on body language alone c:
3: It's easy to forget Aesha's terrible history and and the torment she went through when when I see her in her daily lifeβgoing shopping, partying, etc. It almost deceives the viewer into thinking she is a normal girl living her life to the fullest. I sincerely hope that this can be the case one dayβthat her life settles into some sort of norm and she gets that fairytale wedding she's been dreaming of!
4: I forgot to mention, my favorite design choice for this character is her fluctuating heterochromia. It really makes her unique and draws immediate attention to her face (it does me at least)
5: I'm no expert, but if I had to pick one thing to critique, I'd say anatomy. Looking through your gallery, it's clear you're not shy about trying new poses and perspectives, but brushing up on basic anatomy may help make these scenes more convincing. You're great at flow, so I think if you master anatomy, that'd be the key to illustrating effective character interactions. (I struggle with it too, sometimes. Especially hands, omg. I'm in the same boat as you with them being a mortal nemisis).
But anyhow, I've been glad to see your artistic and character development thus far in this round of OCT. I can't wait to see what you come up with in future challenges Keep up the good work!
