Dantae had more versatility (in the Link sense of his extra tools could relatively do shit, not in the Megaman sense), his healing factor made him survive the match longer and his own time powers countered Bay's, removing her speed advantage.

Well, it is that in the Screwattack articles (well, before Screwattack website became part of Rooster Teeth), you have commented in more than one occasion that you find annoying when they did matches that basically comes down to one opponent being immortal and the other isn't able to brin g the other down... And that is what happened in Dante vs Bayonetta. Basically, the reasoning for Dante's victory came down to "I am immortal, so suck it!"

One reason I both am hoping for and will not like the upcoming Hulk vs Doomsday (you know they'll do it) is because Doomsday is immortal; and so Hulk automatically cannot win.

true true, and I did have that mentality to some degree. The difference is that in a manner similar to Buu; Dantae could still technically die in battle. It's just he had enough skill to not get massacred like Deadpool was, and so didn't get overwhelm.
My argument wasn't that declaring a character immortal is unfair, it's choosing that depiction of the character. This is why they ignored the depictions of Wolverine where he (and his metal bones SOMEHOW) had Buu-tier regeneration and cannot die from a headshoot. No, they chose the mainstream instead since that Wolvie had limitations. Raiden was chosen specifically to counter the 'IMMORTAL: SUCK IT' argument.

that's a misconception. FWI, i'm a DBZ fan. The difference is that there are DBZ fans, and DBZtards. It's that fraction of extremist nerds that praise their franchise with so much fap that they see even the lightweights like Yamcha or Nail as omnipresent or something. I for one like both of these characters and their franchises, i'm just not at that tier of delusion where I think these characters are unbeatable.

I developed two mentalities;
1- DBS does indeed show impressive feats so don't be surprised if people have trouble knowing Superman's true power and jump the gun.
2- If the facts are obvious and they still have tantrums, they're probably a DBZtard and not worth your time. Troll them if you can, otherwise ignore them.

I understand what you're saying, now hear me out.
I like DBZ, I watched all the episodes of DBZ. I know everything relevant about Goku and Vegeta and all the rest. DBZ does indeed have absurdly powerful characters, most of which has no obvious weaknesses and are strong in multiple categories; strength, offensive ki, defense and speed and even OP traits like bodyswitching and candybeams. Being hypersonic and able to launch nuclear bombs alone means that DBZ characters could kill 99.9% of all other fictional characters out there with no effort, and this is an understatment.
The reason you are accusing others of calling Goku weak is because of the Death Battle against Superman.
The issue here is that Superman is not designed for a Death Battle.
Not only is he inconsistent but his maximum potential is implied to have limitations based ONLY on what the writer demands. Superman is a concept of being the best, that's why it's possible to depict him as indestructible. Conceptually, Superman is the best at everything compared to a normal human: he's basically a Chuck Norris meme.
Infact most of his best stories involve Superman dealing with situations his godly powers cannot automatically solve; watch Superman vs the Elites, it's the best example of asking if he's still relevant in our day and age.
Goku is a powerful character, it's just that Superman is, conceptually, supposed to be the best out there. Remember, Goku CAN and HAS lost battles. Superman loses battles if the author demands it for the sake of drama, that's why kryptonite is a thing.
Don't stress over if something thinks Goku will lose a fight, it's his ability to lose a fight that makes the fight so entertaining. If he didn't struggle, then DBZ becomes boring. That's why people think Superman is boring.
