Sometimes I have a hard time finding inspiration, but recently I've been able to create art based off details I remember from my dreams. The more of the dream that I remember, the more ideas for art pieces I can come up with. It's really fun...bringing my dreams to life...# Comments

So far, as you can see, I dont really have a specific style. I just do whatever feels right or whats on my mind. And occasionally good things happen. But photography I think is something Ive been consistently fond of. So I thank you for your advice, and will definitely pursue it.Β

Just about every photographer searches for a style, but doing what comes naturally is the best option, so just carry on doing what you do, buy a small Canon or Nikon, and then have some fun

I am retired, spending my days in the glorious days here in South Africa, and it is well deserved after working in London Paris New York and other many fine cities around the world

I was commissioned to do a book on the Zimbabwean sculptors, that took me on to South Africa,where i met a woman who was doing creative work for Unicef ( non governmental aid agency for the care of children) she commissioned me to take photographs in the remotest parts of Africa, and it was her that introduced me to DA, i think i must be one of the longest members, now i just use it to occupy my mind and stay in touch with some of the greatest photographers i have ever met

Well it is not for the feint hearted and takes a bit of getting used to....where i am is in a small seaside town, with the finest unspoiled beaches in the world, the cost of living is cheap, and for sure the weather is amazing, the people on the whole are pretty laid back, so it's fair to say there isn't much to complain about

No! Don't say that! Everyone's art comes from who they are. In a sense it's a piece of them that was locked inside and now they've let it out. Every one's is unique. Yours has your own flair and expression.

I just browsed your gallery. You do have raw skill. Your poems are great. Why not make a book of them as a poem compilation? And the drawings have fantastic concepts. I've been drawing for a while off and on which is why I can sketch at an ok level. You can sketch great to! Your concepts though is where your talent lies. The ability to think up something that is artistically unique in how it is displayed and how you show the message or idea. You DO have skill!

I'm not sure who would benefit from a compilation book of my poems. And I always feel like I'm not able to satisfactorily replicate my ideas in drawings.

I'm sure Edgar Allen Poe thought the same thing. DO it. PUBLISH it. You don't know until you try. You can do small illustrationss with it.
