Thanks so much for the fav my good man. Your work is outstanding by the way--the style is very standout. Of course one might say akin to geiger and would be correct in thinking he was an influence. But even better--to use a style for your vision and take it further.

Damn dude, Your work is really awesome and inspiring, I digg it.
I'm a big Giger fan myself and I can see some of the same influence in your work, though you don't just copy. You really have something personal and meaningful to show us in that manner and medium, I'm in awe.
I'll be watching you

Thank you for the compliments.
I had a look at your gallery and I must say I'm impressed! Definitely a strong Giger influence, especially in your paintings. A lot of your sketches are of a different style, very gothic to me.
Keep up the good work and I'll be watching you too.

It's great to see there are artist besides Giger doing this style of art still. I can definitely see a difference between your work and his though, which is a plus on your part. Beautiful gallery you have here and can't wait to see more. Thank you!

Just stumbled upon your gallery, and I'm so glad I did! I'm not sure if you receive comments comparing you to Giger favourably or not, but as a big Giger fan myself, I think your art is beautifully executed!
Adding you to my watchlist is/was an inevitability!!
Keep up the great work!

Thank you for the compliments! I discovered the work of Giger about a year after I began developing my own style, and his influence naturally infested my work as his 'vision' was so similar to mine.
I can't avoid being compared to this master so I have to embrace it and take it as a compliment.
I'll ocassionally upload more images so stay tuned.

As a big Giger's fan, i must say this is almost like himself!
....with that kind of persistence and patience...i admire u, but also, i don't understand....why don't u separate from "Giger's art" and make your own world...? i'll be watching u..

Hi Dewona,
Thank you for your comments. I have spent the past 16 years developing my own technique which is different to that of Giger.
I can't escape the fact that my paintings have such a strong resemblance to Giger's - I'm trapped in my style.
When I first saw Giger's work I was astonished that there had been someone with a similar vision to mine producing this type of work for decades!!
Oh well, I'll just keep designing new paintings as it gives me a lot of pleasure.
Thanks again.
Okronis.

Holy giger-ness you've got skill; I've started painting 4 months ago and would love to be able to include such vivid details that you have in my own work, have any tips on getting such detail in? or any in general (what really propelled your abilities)? What's your medium?

Okronis In reply to joshwlt [2010-03-16 06:33:17 +0000 UTC]
Hi joshwlt,
I use acrylic and gouache in my paintings. Unlike Giger who achieves his detail mostly through fine airbrush work, I will use small paintbrushes to add the detail by hand underneath and ontop of the airbrushing.
It all takes time and practice. I have been developing my own technique for about 16 years now.
Thanks for your comments!
