I have been considering putting my animations on youtube as well, but kind of didn't want to since they are all a few seconds short. But that didn't stop you
I do prefer the looping gif for shorter stuff, still. Why don't you have all your animations on both the sites, though? Not like they are topical to the website, or anything.

I didn't put it on deviant because I... forgot to XD but I think when I have more stuf I'll put an 2-4 min video (with free music) with all of these on My deviant
I actually use Clip studio paint to animate, It's just A +- 70β¬ licence for life, but you can use A free program named "storyboarder" to make storyboard and make Gif and Video

Is ClipStudio really that good for animation? Isn't it more for manga an illustration with some bare basic animation features at the level of photoshop and krita? A lot of people seem to use it. A lot of people use photoshop too, but I can't really call it a proper animation application...
I use OpenToonz for all my stuff and with it being free, focused on animation and getting better with every update, I keep checking around if maybe someone else uses it, so we can share tips and experience. No luck so far xD
I know there are bugs and it's super complex, but I believe in it's potential.
I do agree storyboarder is an interesting thing to check out though

I use it because it's 3 in 1 but I thinks it's really simple to use for animation training, I plan to try to use opentoonz, it's look many possibility to animate project.
even if in the end it does not matter what program, as long as you can animate your stuff

I used to think software is unimportant as long as you are capable, but after trying many methods and using OpenToonz for almost a year now, I have concluded It's just not worth it using inferior software for a given task, if there are better available alternatives. At least if you want to make something great in a reasonable amount of time, and not just challenge yourself and spend absurd amounts of time on the simplest of tasks just to prove you can. Though, hardware and monetary limitations are a concern too. OpenToonz and Krita may be free but don't run too well on weaker machines, while some software that does work on weaker machines can cost too much.
Case and point, an animation made on the android phone (with a stylus) using RoughAnimator which I worked on over the course of a few months, and it's not near completion:
Versus a similarly sketchy but colored animation made in OpenToonz (using a tablet) which was made in 5-6 hours:
Sure there are plenty of differences, and my general skill has gotten better since then but... Knowing the first animation would have needed polish I would not have been able to realize in the mobile app. while the 2nd one I could polish with shading, effects, clearer lines and everything in probably another 6 hours in OpenToonz.
tldr: in the end, tools actually matter
