See, you want to know what I believe? I believe in Jesus Christ and God, and that should be enough to gain my place in Heaven. Yes, I'm a fag. Yes, I'm a trans. Yeah, I'm gonna get a lot of hell about it. But God made me the way that I am. If that means I have to go to Hell for living my life as the person I am, so be it. If this means I'm not a true Christian, then again, so be it. I won't change who He made me.
Jesus didn't hate.
But I respect your views on the subject and am now going to drop it. Thank you.

Coon-Hound In reply to Nightliness [2011-04-05 02:12:35 +0000 UTC]
Aye, from my understanding it is enough to accept Jesus as your savior if you truly did, and as a true believer you would want to follow the example that the Lord has given us. We can find those examples in the Bible. In the Bible, John 8, when the woman was caught in adultery and the crowed wanted her stoned to death, Jesus said, "He who is without sin, throw the first stone." No one threw the stone because we are all sinners. Jesus then told the woman, "Your sins are forgiven, go and sin no more."
Now when you have accepted Christ as your saviour, you are to go and sin no more. That includes homosexuality.
Now these are not just my beliefs, they are facts taken from the Bible.
Do you see what I'm saying? Please give this some thought. I'll let you drop the subject now if you want, I can't force you to make the right choices.
Thanks for not ignoring me like most people would do, and that proves you most certainly you are not a fag.

Wait okay, sorry to jump in here where I know It's none of my business but I've heard this from a million people.
How is homosexuality a sin?
And not only that, why did you say 'now these are not just my beliefs, they are facts taken from the Bible?' You do realize the Bible is a historical work of mostly fiction for example metaphors like parting the red sea to teach us about certain aspects of humanity we should be aware of, and not a history book with any sort of accurate fact?
Omg I dont mean to troll I'm just really curious what your opinion on this is?

Well I believe the Bible was in fact a history book. Ask anyone who is indeed 100% Christian, they will agree that the "stories" in the Bible are actual events. The Bible says, "Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." - 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 if it is immoral in God's eyes to be those things, Wouldn't it be considered a sin?
Does that answer your question?

Xanioz In reply to Coon-Hound [2011-04-05 05:18:04 +0000 UTC]
It does, but may I expand? You have helped but it opened up new questions lol
Okay so, you actually believe it was in fact a one hundred fucking percent accurate, FACTUAL book, keeping to the truth of history about as exactly as the United States Eigth Grade textbook I used to own? Why is this? Just wondering but do you actually believe in the stories like, the red sea and all those things? That they actually happened in history? If so, why do you believe this?
And okay, that makes sense, but didn't Jesus say people are created equal? I've read the bible once when I was quite a bit younger, I am not a devout Christian but I know a fair share of what they teach, and didn't Jesus preach things like equality and acceptance? If that is the case, don't you think we would have denied nobody acceptance into heaven? I know he never said a word about homosexuals or the like.
And my other question is, who exactly wrote 1 Corinthians 6:9-11? Did God write 1 Corinthians 6:9-11? How does whoever wrote that, as I know it was't God, know that was what God wanted? How do we know he wasn't like Joseph Smith, who pretended God had sent him a vision and then got the people of where he lived to believe him? How do we know that wasn't just one man's idea of what HE wanted, that he wrote down and convinced the people was somehow God's words?
Cause if I am aware, that is written in the same book, where men can part the red sea, and bushes can spontaneously combust.

Coon-Hound In reply to Xanioz [2011-04-06 00:55:13 +0000 UTC]
MK, SO,
Scientist have tried to disprove the facts and history inside the Bible over and over. Each time, It's history has been proven true by non-believing scientists. Yes I believe the Red Sea happened.
I did not say that a homosexual can not be saved. They can. The same as a pedifile. The same as all sinners. When you are saved you are a new creature in Christ. Your old ways are cast away and you are new. This means you are no longer a pedifile, homosexual or a drunk, or whatever you were. You are saved in Christ. Once saved you are to turn your back on your old ways and strive to be Christ like. We all mess up that is why there is grace. But you can not continue to live in filth and say you are clean.
Who exactly wrote 1 Corinthians was Paul. Paul proved himself of being a pretty wise person in the Bible, even though he may not have started out all that great. How do we know he's not some nutjob like Joseph Smith? Because God won't let that happen. It's hard to explain. We all know...or most of us know that Joseph Smith is a wacky dude, so since people don't believe him, the Bible is still the same.

Xanioz In reply to Coon-Hound [2011-04-06 01:25:08 +0000 UTC]
Oh really? Scientists have not been able to disprove that? I will look that up for myself. I highly doubt that. I think the bible is cool because it shows us metaphors that reflect human nature. For example, the Adam and Eve story shows us how easy humans can be manipulated, and that is why we have to watch out for things like this in our life and nature. Does that mean a talking snake actually gave Adam and Eve an apple? Hell no. That's physically impossible. But I believe in science, evolution, things like that, because it makes a lot more sense to me than a bunch of animals popping up on the Earth in six days magically. I don't believe in fantasy anymore, that was a childhood thing for me. So does most of the world, actually. But I guess, since you believe the red sea was magically parted, that it wouldn't surprise you if you magically got your Hogwarts letter in the mail then, hmm? Seeing as you believe in fantasy.
Oh okay, so homosexuality is somehow grouped with pedophiles now? You do realize, a pedophile is an adult who forces a child or someone much, much younger than them to have sex with them? Which is not only rape, but rape with someone much too young? And a homosexual, is someone who happens to fall in love with someone of the same gender and perhaps have sexual endeavors with them? Does the second sound much different than your average straight relationship between a man and a woman? No. Take for example, me. I am a woman, but I discovered I was a lesbian when my heart fell for someone who was the same gender as I. I did not meet this person with any intention of pursuing a same-sex relationship with them, but out of my control, I gained feelings for them greater than the just friends ones. I do not regret falling for this person in any way as she has enriched my life a lot and I do not regret any of the things I have done with her. Why? Because they make me happy, because she loves me, because I love her, because she enriches my life. That is nothing like pedophiles, which is rape and violation and really horrid things like that. This is love, which in my opinion is beautiful.
But of course, I could always shove away and hurt drastically this amazing woman, break my own heart as wells as hers and suffer a long period of loss and hurt, reject my status as lesbian to instead to turn to males, which I prefer not to perform any sort of sexual endeavors with as it feels weird and off to me, and live a life regretting what I'd lost and feeling completely off with whatever male partner I had until I died. Honestly, I chose to stay with this amazing woman, stay as a lesbian because I identify very much with it, and lead a happy life being true to myself, than loose her and lie to myself.
But of course, it's a choice to you. Well if it is a choice, I will choose the path of less pain, the path that makes me happy with this amazing girl, than to give all that up and lead a life of unhappiness in hopes some God I do not even know exists, will somehow invite me into his 'heaven'.
But then again, I don't believe in heaven, or God, or anything like that. I believe that nothing will happen to me after I die, and that in my opinion is exactly what I want. I have no need for any more life except the ninety or so years I will be given. I will enjoy those years, enjoy them as much as I can, and become the best human I can through practicing things like integrity and honesty and acceptance, and die happy. I do not need to be invited into any sort of golden gates afterlife. I would rather not have to worry about that.
Anyway, this is getting long, but I need to reply to that last bit. Paul did write Corinthians, you are correct. Paul also came from a period of time with a lot of opinions, a lot of sexism and narrow, harsh beliefs. Him putting homosexuality and pedophilia in the same category makes sense as that was what he was taught those many centuries ago. Of course, times have changed, and it is normal for a man to love a man or for a woman to love a woman. So to believe a man's opinion that came from a time very different and much more narrow minded than ours to me sounds outrageous.
Not only that, but the bible may say homosexuals won't be allowed into heaven, but it also says in different parts of Leviticus, things like how woman should be stoned to death for committing adultery or something. Fat cut out of the body and the head removed. We do not do these things. Jesus said to love your enemy. That does not mean to kill them or harm them. It means to love them, but everyone has forgotten that. And I think if someone loves God and gives themself to God and remember what he wants, but even remains a homosexual, they will be invited into the heaven you believe in. I do not think they have to revoke those ways just for that heaven.
