# About me

I'm Max. I like photography, and astronomy. Hence, I love astrophotography.
Aside from these things, I also like games, and programming stuff. I study game development. I've done a year of 'physics & astronomy' before, and a year of general computer sciences.
I have three cameras, my main camera is my Nikon D80, with only one lens, 18-135mm zoomlens.
My ZWO ASI 120MC camera, for planetary imaging.
And lastly, my first camera, my Fujifilm Finepix HS50 EXR. I don't really use that one anymore due to poor image quality.
I'm very glad it got that particular camera though, as it formed for me the bridge between snapping photos, and real photography (by allowing raw files, and all settings manual (like a normal DSLR)). It however, had a very strong zoom-lens with a 24-1000mm (on 35mm) equivalent. Hence this camera also introduced me to astrophotography. It even introduced me to infrared photography, something which I really like, but haven't done in a long time.
I own a variety of filters for my cameras. For the Fujifilm four of em, a simple 'clear' filter for protecting the lens, which is a bit pointless; a polarizer, an infra-red filter, and a 10 stops filter from B+W.
I also recently (at the time or writing this (24-8-2017) got myself a HiTech Firecrest filterholder (which comes with a polarizer too), and a 10 stops slide in filter from you guessed it.. Hite.. LEE. Was some trouble getting the foam off from it, but in the end it all worked out and it now fits like a charm.

For astrophotography I nowadays use my telescope.
Skywatcher Maksutov 1800mm focal length, 150mm (6 inch) aperature, f/12
Skywatcher EQ5 with goto (never got goto to work yet (aside from once), I've sort of stopped trying as star hopping works fine (I DEFINITELY do use the autotracking though, so handy)
A 9x50 finderscope (most recent purchase, geez, that thing helps a lot) It's my goal to get all the planets.
A 2x Barlo.. I mean 'Focal Extender" from Explore Scientific
An atmospheric dispersion corrector from ZWO, to get those low planets I'll be having for the rest of.. well, the following few decades..
I'm only missing Neptune so far, though some of my older planets could use a definite boost in quality with my new skills, gadgets and gizmos.

I often like photographing things in a way you don't see them in real life. This theme is present in nearly all my best work. Be it infra-red light which we literally cannot see, a super zoomed in photo of planets, which we cannot make out any detail on with our own eyes, or just the angle + moment of the scene, which you wouldn't see normally. That's the stuff I love.

I use Adobe Lighroom 5.7 for all my photos.
I use Fusion 2.8.4 for all my HDR photos.
I use Registax 6 and Autostackert! for my plantetary photos
I use DeepSkyStacker for the few pics of larger celestial objects/clusters of objects.

You're trying to bribe me for nothing but your personal gains. You even want me to spend money on your stuff.
That's exactly what spam-emails do. Trying to get money/attention from random people.Β

Yes. I want attention and what? Much more other people do. But they never have reached you.

You don't go around asking people to buy your stuff.Β
I already cringe at people 'thanking' me for favouriting their artwork by going to my page, placing a comment with a huge-ass thumbnail of their work, saying 'thanks'. You're not thanking me, you're -mis- using my page as advertisement for your own work. You hope for people who visit my page will see it, click on it, to end up on your page instead.Β
If your work is good enough for people to like it, just post it, and it'll appear on the dA mainpage, and people'll see it on their own. Don't go around with lame ass tactics like this. That's exactly like on youtube people asking subs for subs. Or those companies who pay 3rd parties to get like 5000 random guys from India to like their page. What do you want? Just a high number there, or actually people who like your work and are interested in it?Β
