You're right, things are starting to fall into place now! Btw, only someone like Hera would think of shooting a shirtless Connor with an arrow… The rest of the girls would have something different in mind!

Oh, and I love how much more… human both of them are in this chapter! Made strong from weakness, made weak from fear. Well done!

Anyway, I really, really liked it! Can't wait for more and I'm definitely ready for action!

I'm happy you liked the story. I have written a couple of stories for assassinn's creed, but never actually thought about the whole Alty getting married plotline... When I realised that, I got really curious about what they could possibly see in each other.
I'm happy you think it worked; and triple-fudge-swirl-plus on that since you've obviously spent a great deal of time with Altaïr and Maria in your paintings.

I'm sorry if I'm annoying, but I'm going to ask you for a favour of sorts. Just ignore me if you don't have time!

I did dedicate some time to this pairing, in paintings and fanfiction as well, because it's my favourite one in AC. I find it a bit unexpected and cliche at the same time, if that makes sense. It's nothing new to have enemies fall for each other, but in this case there's something about the two that makes me forget that.

As for you request, I'm flattered that you ask for my opinion! Do you have an idea for it yet? I would definitely not go for the romantic approach with Leonardo and Claudia (there would be murder! ). Maybe I would do something like... What if Maria Auditore had commissioned Leonardo to paint a portrait of her daughter to celebrate her wedding to Duccio de Luca? Claudia would visit the master to pose for him. Perhaps she could find out what a cheat Duccio really was during their conversations. Or, for something a bit spicier, the portrait could have been commissioned for her new brothel...

If I come up with a good idea I'll let you know!

After reading your comment I had this idea about super-frustrated-left-alone-in-boring-Monteriggioni-far-out-in-the-country Claudia. I really feel sorry for her; a big city girl, suddenly stuck in a crumbling glorified farmhouse far from everything and expected to be her brother's accountant while tending to her catatonic mum.
Ezio just gets all the fun.

No, ok. Maybe not.

But there is bound to be some emo happening when Ezio just pops up for a vacation between killing off the enemies of the family. It has to stretch further than "Have you come to look at the book".
And what's with that Monteriggioni architect? He is there in the same room with her for YEARS! If I was her Italian older brother I would NOT like that constellation.

Maybe she decides to treat herself to a portrait? And invites Leonardo without telling Ezio? She could be planning to send the portrait to ... a rich suitor?
Actually, trying to get the young lady of the family married off (or sent to a convent) would be Mario's job, but that is just a hopeless thought, so she decides to fix her marital status on her own?
Hmm, now there just has to be a plotline.
I really like your idea about Leonardo knowing about Duccio, but I try to avoid canon extras if at all possible and to place the stories in "empty periods" where we don't specifically know what the main characters are up to. But if I made up a suitor that... Leonardo knew because he was sleeping with him?

I love the idea of a "super-frustrated-left-alone-in-boring-Monteriggioni-far-out-in-the-country Claudia"! It's a marvelous opportunity to give her a voice during those years that must have been maddening! And I like the idea of Ezio dropping by to check the book and finding a different answer: "Shut up-a with tha book, don't you see I'm-a posing for a masterpiece? Bischero!" (meaning "you stupid jerk")

The visit of Leonardo could not only mitigate her boredom but also be an opportunity for him to let all the rumors of his sexual preferences towards young male models and servants cool down for a while... And it could give Claudia a chance to vent about her "I'm-so-uber-cool-super-busy-Assassin" brother!

I really don't see Claudia as the marrying kind, but I suppose she would do everything - even pose for a portrait to attract suitors - to escape going to a convent!
I think that would be an interesting reunion!

Whether you can make use of some of these thoughts or not, can't wait to read this story.
