# About me
Hello and welcome to my page. My full name is Maria Teresa Martinez I go by Mari. :) I was born in Cuba and was raised in the United States all my life. I have traveled and even lived in Spain for about a year. Had wonderful experience there. I was in my teens and was very much drawn by Flamenco. So much so that when I got back to the States I took up Flamenco dancing as well as Classical Spanish dancing. I had wonderful inspirational teachers. Art was something my family loved and we were all exposed to in one form or other.I use to draw as a child but nothing very good that I thought of anyway. I drew as any child does because its entertaining. However I didn't develop my curiosity to learn until my late 50's as a way to unwind and chill. I found a new love! I have no formal experience or learning what so ever. So what you see is what you get.
I have had the good fortune to meet some great artists here in deviant art and have gotten tips and tricks to help me alone. I would say its been about 4 years since I started and it is not a full time thing for me. Although I try to paint/draw everyday. You know what they say?! Practice makes prefect!

the babies are doing great, not babies any more! they're going to be 5 and 3 this summer - smart, sweet, full of energy! and they're getting a new brother or sister in October!
and Son #3 is having his first in October - I get two grandbabies for my birthday this year
