# About me
Living in NW United States, I enjoy every aspect of creating things. I think I was first inclined to start crafting because of my artistic interests as well as my families low income. Instead of having the ability to buy the costumes I wanted I had to make them. This is also what interested me in Apparel Design school and is what I got my degree in. I currently have a day job that funds my interests as well as gives me the time to pursue them.Occasionally I'll do commissions for people, but right now the majority of my work comes from personal interests.

Wow, I don't know how I only just saw this. I haven't worked with tires very much. I have used them as soles for shoes, but that's about it. The difficult part of rubber is cutting it and sewing it. It has to be stretched open while you cut it so it doesn't drag on the knife. As for the sewing, it can grab the thread in ways that will mess up tension quite a bit... so hand sewing would be best. Then you're facing problems with friction again, just use patience! Hope it's still useful info at this point.

I came across your work, initially looking for inspiration for a "light keeper" costume for halloween. Sewing clothing is to this day like magic to me, that feels like I cannot conquer.
