# About me

I've made a facebook page dedicated to the support of logical women. It's a group that promotes the idea that women can be just as logical as the greatest of men like Plato, Socrates, Einstein, Gandhi, and Buddha. People of any sex are free to join. The tag line is "A page for logical women and those who love them!" It's not just a place to find like minded people but also a place to learn and share opinions.

By the way, I decided that after I get home tonight (visiting my parents) I WILL try to watch "Meet the Feebles" (if You Tube hasn't removed it). The story and characters sound intriguing to me. (I read a summary of the movie. The "surprise" ending is part of what makes me want to watch it. In a way there's more tension that way, already knowing what will happen.)

I will have to brave the creepy-ass puppets.

So...I'm not sure yet if I am thanking you for introducing me to "Meet the Feebles," or accusing you of scarring me for life. We'll see later tonight.

The ending is what makes it all worth it.
The mere absurdity will likely scar you for life. Β

It seems like the Muppet equivalent of "Cool World," honestly.

LogicalWomen In reply to LizzyChrome [2014-04-06 23:04:56 +0000 UTC]

I haven't seen that one, only the music video about "we are prostitutes".Β

LizzyChrome In reply to LogicalWomen [2014-04-07 01:35:11 +0000 UTC]

"Cool World" is an interesting movie.

The story is awful, and there are a lot of gross and uncomfortable scenes. But the supporting cast of characters is fantastic, and the music and scenery create a surreal world unlike any other.

I haven't watched "Meet the Feebles" yet. But I get the feeling that someone who likes it will also enjoy "Cool World."

LogicalWomen In reply to LizzyChrome [2014-04-07 01:42:30 +0000 UTC]

What kind of gross and uncomfortable scenes? Examples?Β

Aaaand yeah... I wouldn't say that "Meet the Feebles" is a movie anyone should watch with their parents. Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LizzyChrome In reply to LogicalWomen [2014-04-07 03:11:11 +0000 UTC]

By "gross and uncomfortable" I mean, way-too-long scenes of a slutty cartoon girl doing a stripper dance; sex between a cartoon girl and a (gross, hairy) human man; and a camera shot that goes into a cartoon monkey's mouth, zooms through his body, and exist through his butt-hole.

Oh, and I give up on the Feebles. I tried AGAIN to watch it. I got a little farther this time. I got to the part where the little British porcupine came to audition. But I just said, "screw it," and skipped to the ending where Heidi kills a bunch of them. I was pleasantly surprised to see the porcupine andΒ  his poodle lover escape unscathed. I liked them, in the two or three minutes I knew them. I was sad to see Trevor the Rat get killed though: I LOVED him (in the two minutes I saw of him, and his Peter Lorre-esque voice).

But overall, it was all. Too. Disturbing. The puppet designs, the dark lighting, the 80s stop-motion, the 80s keyboard music, it was too creepy for me. I just couldn't stomach it. Or maybe it wasn't just that it was too creepy, but that there just wasn't enough positive things to *make up* for the creepiness. It was just a bunch of creepy puppets in a creepy world, walking around and talking and fucking and killing each other. That part where Heidi shot the chicken's head off was *especially* disturbing.

This movie has scared me for life.

There's a small chance I will try yet again, out of curiosity. And because I really do like that Porcupine and that Rat. But god....I don't know if I can.

I just read some of your forum posts, and still, no, I was not parodying you, and I still don't know who you are. I just read some stuff that seems to suggest some other stuff and I feel that everyone is looking at the world in the wrong way. I more or less agree with your complaints on the forum; everyone wants the idea of self superiority without having to do anything, so its easier to just attack what someone else says. I realise I'm at a stage where I need to start doing something, and become superior to other people by being superior. If everyone tried to be superior to other people, and not just say someone else is inferior, the world would probably be a pretty awesome place.
