Favorite movies: Willow springs to mind. Lilo and Stitch! Mystery Men, Silent Hill. Generally I love movies with supernatural, creepy, scary stuff (Not slashers. That bores the crap out of me.) .Favorite TV shows: Horrible Histories, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Farscape, Criminal Minds, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Star Trek
Favorite bands / musical artists: My favourite genres are opera and metal. It's basically the same; the deepest, most destructive and creative forces of human emotion delivered loudly. And both genres are heavy on storytelling. Mozart, Evanescence and loads others
Favorite books: The Three Musketeers - probably the most precisely constructed story I know of. An amazing, and funny, work of art!
Favorite writers: Niccolo Machiavelli!! I'm a screaming fangirl of Niccolo Machiavelli; everything he ever wrote! "Hermes Trismegistus" or whoever... in Ficino's translation. Also Michel de Montaigne, I like that guy. And of course Michael Ende - he is a true wordsmith!
Favorite games: Assassin's Creed - the undisputed number one game! YAY. But I also own like a crazy person in L4D, I love Civ V. And the Stanley Parable. OMG! The Stanley Parable... And GOAT SIMULATOR!!! You lick someone and they die and headbutt a truck and it 'splodes!
Favorite gaming platform: PC - the old reliable, infinitely extendable platform
Tools of the Trade: Words; mostly words
Other Interests: Sock puppets! Really badly made sock puppets... Yeah, they are great!
# About me
Me?I write stories!
I love staying up late and eating sour candy and wearing hoodies and over the years I have gotten pretty damn good at doing a lot with very little.
My childhood hero was Robin Hood. My muse is... quite bizarre.
I'm in love with Assassin's Creed and have written a number of stories in the AC universe. Check them out in my gallery.
What are you waiting for? Go read! =D

I am super happy about that! So much that I wanted to make a picture of a monkey looking gooey but I failed. *novice*
Thank you so much for the offer of promoting my book! I will definitely take you up on that as soon as I get the finishing touches done! Actually, I'm flat on my face with awe that you have amasses such a lot of followers (That sounded so wrong: I mean, you TOTALLY deserve it!! But I am clueless about how to do what you have done. You SO rock!)

Hahaha, icons and emotiocons are enough. Do you draw?
Wonderful! With a cover and a small summery or except, I will gladly show it off to the masses. I know what you mean! I really can't understand how it happened either. I make pictures with quotes, writer things and word of the day on them, but I think it's mostly because I gather such a broad selection of resources. Some blogs specialize, but I pretty much reblog anything I view as quality and useful for writing. I also help redirect people to those resources and give random advice when it's asked for. But that many is still a lot and I can't really believe it myself.
Thank you! You're the best.

I just read your Goals...
You have such a great sense of humor, I love that. And over that, I love how you value people reading your book more than the money! That's so refreshing. But money is nice... Really nice.
I, for one, expect to be notified immediately, so I can buy the first copy! I would LOVE to read your stuff -- especially your original stuff, which I'm sure is simply amazing. You have such a great writing style.
Also, I am 1000% behind promoting your novel on my blog! Out of the 4,000+ followers, I'm positive you'll get readers. I would love to direct others to your stuff.
Happy writing!

OH MY GOD I'm so thankful, you're so so sweet and I'm deeply grateful. You're just so great, I can't believe it.
As soon as my book is published, you are getting a autographed copy. You are going to be one of the very first to get a copy and I will autograph it myself -- and any novels following it!
Ah, you're just the best.

I was so surprised. I popped into dA and saw a star by my name and was like, 'did dA upgrade something?' And then I saw a notification. And then I saw your message. And then I STARTED SCREAMING IN CAPS.

And yeah! Getting rid of the ads and being able to view a LOT more thumbs a page is totally spanky! It's the reason I went premium myself in the first place.

Hi! I did some rearranging and reworking on my schedule, and I'm free for a word challenge if you're game! I understand if you're not (I'm so sorry your circle jerking you around for so long. It was never my intention), but I'm opened to it if you are.

Heyyy, you! Yay! Great to hear from you!
Thank you so much for offering to help with my beta-reader request via your blog. I'm really flattered and grateful for the offer. Surprisingly, my wanted add has actually just worked. So I now have a beta. Let's see how it pans out. I might come back and beg for some exposure on your blog later but it seems to be pretty productive at the outset.
Good grief, I look forward to this Cesare/Leo fic being done. It’s a bitch trying to study for my exams with Cesare buzzing around in my skull!
Anyway, here’s an offer right back at ya: If you need a beta-reader/feedback person with no commercial interests in your project and a thorough understanding of the paranoid need for total confidentiality and secrecy concerning your text, then I would be happy to give you my time. You probably have someone else, but I thought I’d offer it just in case you need it.
And wow, yay, I’d love to do a word challenge. I have plans this Saturday (I’m mastering my Templar role-playing game… w00t ) but other than that, I’m totally game for getting some random creative writing done! Like a breath of fresh air.
When, what words, how long and what are the rules? I abide by your judgment. Hurrah

Well that's great! I happy to hear that. I hope it turns out awesome for you. How are you liking it so far? Do you find it odd to have someone in your things? Or do you know the person pretty well?
I'd be glad to promote you why time you'd like. What's the point of having a popular writing blog if you don't get to use it once in a while? And why have a following if you don't get to help friends out. but I'm glad it's going great!
I love it when the characters won't be quiet! That's the best part and they're usually the richest then. Hang onto that. But yeah, it can be a pain in the ass when you can't concentrate. 'No... No, Daphne don't flirt with him right no- stop responding! No, quit making out-- I'm in church!' Haha
Thank you so so much! That's extremely generous of you and I'm so appreciative of that. I have a beta right now that I've been working with for years, but I always love a second opinion! I'll have to decline for right now, since my project is still in the works, but I would love it if you could read a finished section when it's farther down the road? It's getting close to done, but there's still a lot of working. So when it hits the revising stage, I would dearly appreciate it. I'll come back and beg for your expertise later, but for now I'll just keep up with my process. Thank you!
Templar RP game? OOHH, do tell.
Exactly! So I was thinking to could have a week deadline, so we can both get whatever else we need done without too much pressure. I'm thinking the same guidelines as before, 1,000 words max and the words, 'Rebel, Herald, tortoise'. And we have to use all three words without exception. What do you think?

Liva-Wilborg In reply to Aniphine [2013-12-01 22:08:39 +0000 UTC]
Oooh, sounds really cool with the one week challenge, I'm supremely game for that. And awesomely incompatible words, those three. This should prove interesting! Do we start now and post next Sunday? Monday? What suits your schedule?
Just let me know when/if you need me to read your text. I'd be honoured to assist when the time comes. I'm not quite as active here on dA as I used to be, so here is my email: liva@wyrdsisters.dk . Just in case. I'd really hate to miss the opportunity to assist you just because I didn't log on or something. ^^
And no, I don't really know my beta yet, not really. She is a Finnish woman who has commented on some of my stuff and we have just been sort of vaguely in contact from time to time since I joined dA. But she seems quite cool, and the feedback she has given me so far has been really well structured and reasonable.
I used to get a sort of spastic, mental tic at the thought of people reading my stuff at all. In a sort of fear that they could also read me. It took me about 10 years to get over that (!). Now it seems I'm really relaxed about it. I guess it comes with slowly understanding my own process. When a text leaves my hands it no longer really represents the person I have become and so the reader can only, potentially, read the person I was while writing it. Ok, I'm kinda rambling a little; but do you know this feeling? Have you been through the same process? I guess the answer to your question of whether it's weird to have someone relatively unknown in my text is that it's surprisingly unproblematic
"No, quit making out-- I'm in church!" LOL!!!! Oooooh yeah. I fired a “Borgia barrage” without giving it a second thought, while in a group at university, where we were doing an assignment about how to set up a new museum: Bribe the board managing the museum or manoeuvre the right persons into the positions in the board where you want them, fire everyone employed and strength-test and handpick the new employees to ensure that every single process and expertise is streamlined, leak this process to the press (in complete secrecy to make it more interesting) to generate public debate (and interviews) about the new museum and it’s personality and profile, manipulate key persons in the cultural funding section. ...Now my fellow students think I’m the anti-Christ. Gee, thanks Cesare. (...my museum would kick ass, though! LOL)
Hehe, my Templar game... I’ve been a “pen and paper” role-player for 24 years (ok, now I feel old ) and my group of players have no computer gaming experience. They are consultants in an unemployment fund for academics in their normal life. That sounds SO dry but they are really cool people. But we have been playing different stories for a couple of years now. It’s rather awesome. Because they have no knowledge of Assassin’s Creed, but all have an interest in history, they happily jumped at the chance of getting their hands dirty in the service of the Temple. So we meet every other Tuesday, and sometimes a whole weekend, to explore the Holy Land. YAY. I’m the game master, so I make the plot and NPC’s and generally nudge the players gently through the story, rethinking my various plotlines like all hell when they do something I never saw coming (and they do that a lot, which is great because it keeps me on my toes as a storyteller). The story is set in Acre and Jerusalem where the two biggest urban Templar garrisons were, in 1151. I couldn’t resist giving them an Apple of Eden. But I have also given them a “black mirror” (an ancient tablet computer) and they just turned the Apple over to the hashishims yesterday! Gosh, it was amazing! They trust the assassins more than their own Order as this story has progressed. I’m still undecided whether this trust is well placed... Hmm *plotting!*

This coming Sunday works fine for me. And you're right, those are some great words. I'll have lots to work with and I'm sure you will to. I'm going to try and make mine a fanfiction, so I can hit two birds with one stone and contribute to some fandoms finally.
Great, I added it to my address book and sent you an email. The feeling is mutual, I'd hate to miss your message AGAIN due to inactivity or dA glitches. I get to emails a lot faster than anything else. It seems a lot of people are losing interest in dA -- at least the social media half. Myself included! I don't know, it seems life hit us all at once! Or maybe it was tumblr...
That's great! And how cool that she's of a different country; talk about a different perspective. I love all the culture you an learn from someone of a different place. That's great for you, I hope it goes well!
I know what you mean! And I used to be really against the thought of writers inserting things into their writing, but now the more I'm reading and writing -- especially while knowing the writers -- I see that it can't be helped. We all do that Ina little way. I don't know about you, but I seem to exaggerate it on my half. Dealing with a moral dilemma in my personal life over a friend turns into a woman holding up her attempted murderer in his casino but having his daughter walk in on them -- the grey area is the only thing recognizable, and only if you knew.
That's really cool! I never thought fo that. I only noticed that kind of thing while writing Nonfiction. To a point, anything I write tells a little about me and has a little piece of my soul, but since I knew I was writing that for business, I felt more detached from it. Once I dotted all the Is and crossed all the Ts, it wasn't mine any longer.
I'm still a little neurotic about showing others my unfinished work, like my first drafts, but I'm slowly overcoming that. I'm only able to be totally comfortable doing that with my beta, and only because I've known her forever. And only recently actually, out of necessity. It feels like bearing my heart to someone, knowing it's kind of ridiculous and hoping they don't pitch rotten fruit at me. I take a lot of stock in my writing, since it's everything to me, so it's a bit of a sensitive subject. Not that I can't take some harsh criticism! But it's hard to let the shield down. You know? Hahaha I beat you at rambling!
That's great! I'm glad it's better for you!
GEEZALOO, you are the anti Christ! Hahaha WOW that is really friggin cool! And thought out! And ingenious. I have to take notes from you, I want to write some devious characters but I'm just not devious! Ahahah I should steal Cesare for a while. Man, that is so cool! That museum would kick ass! I just going to sit here for a minute and think of how smart that was.
Dude that is so cool! I love that idea, that must be so much fun! So, (I'm sorry, I'm totally ignorant to this thing) it's like a big collaboration fiction? But role playing? With Assassin's Creed themes and some plots? Like a AC fic (possible AU?)? That's so cool! And you're the one that throws twists in their paths for their characters to react to? How fun! That's great! So how does it work, like you actually sit down all together and act it out or do you do it over the Internet? Because it sounds really interesting and I think it'd be fun to see some of the story lines if that's possible?

I'm going to move to a different city (town, actually) here in Denmark and it scares the crap out of me to move to a place even smaller than Copenhagen. Heh, know the feeling! Actually, I sometimes feel that deviantart is a bit of a disater for people who write. No matter what, it takes a lot more effort to sit down and read a story than it does to spend 30 seconds looking at a painting, and everything seems very... visual here.
I've been at a loss on how to spread the word too!

ShuyinTheEnigmatic In reply to Liva-Wilborg [2013-08-21 18:09:28 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, and that's the thing; it's an era of instant self-gratification, and the pretty pictures become far more stimulating to look at than reading walls of text. It's hard for writers here to really get all that much attention when others would rather click on a digital masterpiece of line-art and color.
I think it's just best to look at groups and stuff.

Liva-Wilborg In reply to ShuyinTheEnigmatic [2013-08-22 07:47:50 +0000 UTC]
Actually... I have been trying to contact deviantart about their text interface. And (very politely) given suggetions on some features that would really light things up for us writers. I am so tired of not being able to just copy/paste when posting, without having to redo the manuscript with html to create bold and italics for example.
They do so many cool community projects about different kinds of art, but all of it is visual. Perhaps we could try to gather some people who would like to make a deviantart text-awareness event (LOL, ok, it sounds ridiculous)... But it would be nice. Perhaps something about pairing texts with visuals the other artists make?
No clue right now how I'd do it, though. Just got the idea...
