Why hello there!My name is Lauren and I live on caffeine, have the spirit of Totoro, and like to run in 8 different directions all at once. For me, art is something I've never been the best at, but at the same time I've always been good at it. Over the years, art has just been something that I've managed to keep up with and grow at, but without getting too serious about. More than anything, I'm a musician. I'm a classically trained violist and cellist, jazz and rock trained (electric) bassist, rock trained guitarist, ukulele enthusiast, and also a master at the kazoo. On top of playing all of those instruments (and always learning more), I compose classical music. I've also been known to write sometimes, although I used to be much better at it.

It's really refreshing to have someone comment to promote art that isn't theirs. So often I see people say things like "my art is like yours! Look at it!" but promoting your friends instead is a really nice change and I respect you a lot for that.

Besides, I see very little overlap between yours and mineΒ ...which is what makes some of these dA groups interesting, as you'll find things you enjoy but hadn't been actively looking forΒ
And TekontaΒ is someone I only became friends with through an appreciation for his art.Β I'm very well versed in street art/graffiti but seldom saw anything quite like his work anyplace else.

Our art doesn't seem to have a lot of overlap, like what you said, but I checked out your gallery anyways and I really enjoy your work. The photography is really refreshing and it isn't cliche, which I like a lot, Keep doing what your doing, man!
