Keepin busy brother.

My son is going to be 1 year old this week and he alone is enough to keep me busy...not to mention a ton of freelance, my own comic(yes I'm still workin on it. Slowly but surely.) as well as my Youtube channel and full time job as an employment /workforce development specialist...Yep.

I'm busy as can be. But I'm grateful tho.

This time last year, I lost my job. So things could always be worse.

I've also been collecting pretty hardcore.

I managed to get back into C.O.P.S. an old line from 1988.

I don't know if you remember it.

They were like the successor to GI JOE. They just didn't get the push they deserved.

BUT, for those who are interested in a trip WAAAAAAY BAAAACK in the time, I've posted a review and will be reviewing the entire line in the months to come on my youtube channel.

So that's what's up in my neck of the woods.

Yeah been focussing in on my job personally too. We've got a new team at the school this year, so they need quite a lot of support, especially doing the GCSEs (kinda like graduating High school UK style). I'm pretty busy but like you say, it's good busy. Grateful to be busy stuff rather than 'OMG stress' busy.

Aw I definitely remember COPS. Used to watch that Saturday mornings with my little brother. I don't think we got the toys over here in the UK, I'm pretty sure we'dve snapped them up if they did come out here. Whereabouts is your Youtube, I wouldn't mind seeing some of those toys and taking a trip back to things being mildly less complicated lol.

Personally been focussing in on art and craft in my free time mainly. After some awkward political infighting caught me unawares, I've been carrying on my tai chi chuan but been doing it as one to one lessons with my sifu, some things that happened basically made the club itself a place my face didn't fit, but these things happen. I've started learning wing chun as well with him, I think once the dust has settled I'm probably going to look for another club because the private sessions are great but I miss working with other people.

I hate changing MA schools. It gets arduous learning new people as well as new movements and philosophies after getting super adjusted to a previous one. But, as long as you improve and YOU see the improvement, it's all good.

I enjoy making vids about random stuff. Mostly action figures, comics, Animation and soon Martial arts films....and sometimes video games and music. Both from film and otherwise.

I started doing vids because there was a lack of honesty and real logic to the reviews and I like to enjoy MANY aspects of what is now considered "GEEK" culture. Be it old action figures or games or new stuff. I really appreciate all of it and i can talk about them objectively as well as subjectively. That's not what most do on youtube.

So, that's just a little heads up...LOL!

Oh yeah. I won't go into it too much (cos I could write an essay) but leaving my last one was messy, and I'm taking a few months out to just focus in on what me and my Sifu had been working on before everything hit the fan, then figure out what it is I want to take up in the future from there. It's a bit touch and go as I have a physical condition that causes me to have brittle bones so while I love training MA I have to be careful which types I take up, but I am actually pretty excited about the prospect of trying something new and I'm sure I'll find something both safe for me to practice and fun to do.

Dude I checked out your intro vid last night and I am really looking forward to checking out more now I've got the weekend to do as I please . I like your attitude to it and it's always nice to hear from someone with solid experience and a desire to shoot straight about things and not BS people. I've been blogging this year mainly about horror movies and videogames at tomrants21.wordpress.com, check it out if you're interested . Like I say, am stoked to work through some of your reviews in the very near future

Things here are good. I'm just busy as hell! We just had a baby boy we named Nikolai.
He's 4 months now and growin like a mutant.
I'm doin retail again while freelancing and the balance is tippin in favor of retail.
We are pluggin away at WAR OF THE GODS still. You should check out the GI joe pics I've taken and manipulated. I've been havin fun doin action figure photography.

I really hate the fact that the kind of attention MOTU gets isn't shared with other franchises.
That cartoon wasn't even that awesome. Neither was the movie.
I understand that many of the characters were well thought out and could work in a different context.
What did you grow up on?
Or what were your favorites?
Did any of them go on to become popular toy franchises?
