Not really, most of my shoots are 4 hrs long and back in 1999 these were all on film. So yeah, we were both taking a break but I had just finished reloading one of my cameras and could resist popping one of Oksana watching TV. 3 cameras, a 35mm Kodak pony, A Fuji 645 and a Yashica TLR, so around 54 shots before needing to reload.

Mu pleaasure. Could you perhaps spare a bit of your time and tell me what your art is about? I know Art does not need commentary, I'm just curious about the origins of it all and how is it connected to the insects.

William--King In reply to Krazzt [2017-06-14 16:23:01 +0000 UTC]

You need to think like me completely out of the box. The Dreaming Fly series was based on the idea that if i was a fly, what would i be dreaming, what in fact would be the visions in my head and how would they look. This lead me to playing around with my original acrylic pictures in photoshop and developing the first picture which kinda made me think now this is what a spider or fly might see when looking at the original artpiece, hence insect visions! and yes i know spiders are not insects but i think you get the idea.
Hope that helps xx

Devil on a chair is very old. I never gave it a proper description. You will be surprised, but it's 0.7 HB/2B mechanical pencil on some really weird paper. It was glossy, but... the surface was actually an extremely thin layer that would get damaged upon any erasing or if you put too much pressure or any repeated strokes. And under this thin layer was some kind of fluffy paper, much softer than regular cellulose. It felt like scratching skin/flesh with a needle. The original is lost, as is the case with almost any of my drawings. But I get back to shape artistically I will be happy to draw something inspired by your gallery, and I will let you know about it.

Thanks!Β  that's very interesting;Β  weird-sounding paper.Β  Sounds almost unsuitable for the job, but you can't argue with the results.Β  I hope you will get back to drawing - a break is normal and natural, but talent should be exercised!
Cheers.
